As title this is just for fun

If you did join in with looting where would you go?
I'm not meaning food but everyday stuff that people take for no gain .
I will start ( as expected) I will loot Waterstones as I love reading and reckon I will need something to pass the time, plus the medical books I need cost a fortune!

Oliver and Jocasta's mother's house. She has 200 bog rolls in her yoga lounge.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 18/03/2020 12:18

The Lego shop. That stuff isn't cheap. I'd be with you in Waterstones too.

Plainandsimple · 18/03/2020 12:20

Flying Tiger - the stationery & craft stuff would keep me entertained for hours, all those dinky kitchen gadgets that I lust after but resist buying because I don’t need them, the weird foody stuff is really nice and would do as emergency rations, plus bonus point would be they might have some hand soap left!

JustUrggghhhh · 18/03/2020 12:21

@mikeuniformmikeGrinGrinGrin

I would loot The Works to get my fix of notebooks, pens and self help books!

BitchHazel · 18/03/2020 12:22

I'd help you in Waterstones.

Also, I wouldn't have the heart to loot my favourite coffee shop as it's independant but if I won the lottery I'd buy all their stock and pay all their staff so they don't go under if they have to close over the next few months.

drinkingwineoutofamug · 18/03/2020 12:23

Don't think about the works for arts and crafts stuff . Would have a bloody house full of dream catchers 🤣

John Lewis, obvs.
Or Joules.
I am a Mumsnetter, after all.

MrsT1405 · 18/03/2020 12:25

I'd be at a knitting shop or paper type shop!

drinkingwineoutofamug · 18/03/2020 12:26

Would possible have to loot pets at home as well. Dog food, toys & stuff for my African snail as well!

Mulberry. I think a collection of designer handbags would help me keep my chin up during these difficult times.

Deathraystare · 18/03/2020 12:28

Waterstones, make up counters (just bought a lovely Dior Lipstick and would hate to run out....), plus HMV for CDs and DVDs. I don't have internet, netflix et al so if I self isolate I would need these!

SlurplePurple · 18/03/2020 12:29

Probably Lush. The kids love bath bombs but they’re way too expensive unless it’s a special treat. And I love the face masks and body conditioner.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 18/03/2020 12:30

Probably dfs, I really need a new couch and they have a nice one in there, they've never got the shape I want in the shop though so it might be tricky, but I'll take what I can get and make it work.
Then m & s for school uniform, I would get a shit tonne for the next few years.
Then a sports shop for sports clothes and trainers for all of us. I really grudge paying a fortune for things I only wear to get really sweaty, and ds 1 will only wear joggers atm 🙄 and they are expensive.
First stop would be a car garage though, for a big tank of a car that I could never usually afford. Infact I would take 2.

PorpentinaScamander · 18/03/2020 12:31

Hobbycraft, waterstones and the works.

Or the Range. They have everything!

starrysimon · 18/03/2020 12:31

Anywhere that sells Capri Suns, can’t get enough of them during this pregnancyGrin

Also McDonald’s as I used to work there as a teen so know how to make the food

drinkingwineoutofamug · 18/03/2020 12:31

Getting some great ideas here need a swag bag

In terms of my local area there are only a few places. Maybe the posh card shop and the gift shop.

Putapeonyinyourpocket · 18/03/2020 12:32

I overheard my neighbor brag about his 80 toilet rolls, so when I run out me and my botty will be over to his house lol!

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 18/03/2020 12:32

Then a bookshop, but only nky because I really love the smell of a new book. I usually buy them second hand or trade with people.

Tableclothing · 18/03/2020 12:32

Ticketmaster for when all this has blown over.

Rockbird · 18/03/2020 12:33

The Apple Store, then DFS for some new sofas. Then Lush for some lovely bath things, and home!

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 18/03/2020 12:33

Oh and I would go somewhere that sells really good pillows, duvets, and mattresses. I need a good mattress for my back but they are so bloody expensive!

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 18/03/2020 12:33

Ooh I'd do one of those old fashioned sweet shops.

Tiredmum100 · 18/03/2020 12:33

Wilkos for a pick and mix and next for some clothes.
