As title this is just for fun

If you did join in with looting where would you go?
I'm not meaning food but everyday stuff that people take for no gain .
I will start ( as expected) I will loot Waterstones as I love reading and reckon I will need something to pass the time, plus the medical books I need cost a fortune!

OOooo

hmm, let me see - books, Oh yes, as many as I could carry, and when it comes to books I'm sure I could carry a LOT.

then Hobbycraft. So many things I want to try, all so expensive. I''l be right in there with a van.
Same with a good sewing shop - fabric, Oh boy could I take a load of fabric. (mind you Hobbycraft has quite a lot of nice fabric)

And our Hobbycraft is next to Dunelm, so that would be useful, I could do with a duvet, pillows, some new towels....

BlueChampagne · 18/03/2020 13:10

A top end wine merchant - so I could try stuff I can't afford Grin Wine

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/03/2020 13:12

Before coming on here my list was Hobby craft and Waterstones. It now includes m&s food, Lego shop, dunelm mill, and now to decide a clothes store...

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/03/2020 13:14

Maybe ikea. Or perhaps a more high end furniture store.

Plus decathlon or go outdoors... Growing children and outdoor clothing gets expensive

steppemum · 18/03/2020 13:14

thorntons. or lindt. or, lets face it, the chocolate section in Asda!

Whsmith for magazines.

steppemum · 18/03/2020 13:35

Now look, this is looting, so you have to be able to carry it.

sofas and freezers indeed...

Grin Wink

ThunderPython · 18/03/2020 13:36

I'd have to loot a nice jewellery shop.

Not for profit. I'm a total magpie and shiny things make me smile.

I got engaged at Christmas and every now and then my ring catches the sun light and before I know it I'm transfixed by the twinkly sparkly loveliness.

So, all the shiny things please.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 18/03/2020 13:39

Actually where sells board games? Waterstones or The Range? There too, after Hobbycraft.

SeaViewBliss · 18/03/2020 14:55

have you considered a supermarket distribution warehouse?

No but I have just found out where my nearest one is and that is definitely going on my list. In my imagination, I walk the streets looking for cars I can hot-wire that still have fuel!

Inkpaperstars · 18/03/2020 14:57

waterstones yes, and space nk

armwrestler · 18/03/2020 15:03

tk maxx, for the most hideous outfits I can find. Only to be worn around the house so I might as well have a laugh

a fancy bike shop for a fast and fancy bike so I can pass the MAMILs and annoy them

BruceAndNosh · 18/03/2020 15:13

The gorgeous florist in our village.
If anarchy is reigning to allow looting, no-one would be buying flowers anyway, so they would just with and die in her shop, so she wouldn't be additionally out of pocket.
At least if I loot them, they get appreciated.

And some flowers are edible...

steppemum · 18/03/2020 15:19

Bruce - bad news.
apparently the florists are struggling to get any flowers delivered as Holland is in lockdown, so the flower shop will be empty

GymMummyBunny · 18/03/2020 15:21

Lush

GymMummyBunny · 18/03/2020 15:22

Oh and JD Sports and then onto Pandora.

Soubriquet · 18/03/2020 15:27

Local bookshop called BookMarks.

Local pet store for all the pet goodies I want.

And then maybe pets at home so I can get lots of new animals Grin

Ooo and Smyths

I have a weakness for toys

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 18/03/2020 15:32

Book shops to start with. Although not sure I'd "loot" per se, just move in for a bit.

Then I'd break into the McManus Gallery in Dundee and make off with Dante Gabriel Rossetti's "Dante's dream on the day of the death of Beatrice".
