What do you wish you never googled?

I came across a term that I very stupidly googled. It’s just vile and the mere thought of it makes me nauseous.

Have you ever googled something you wish you hadn’t?

Won't say. Ended up vomiting out of shock and saying "can you imagine" 100 times a day to my husband for at least 3 days.

QueenOfOversharing · 25/02/2020 01:27

A photo popped up in a news story the other day & I nearly threw my phone. It was 2 dogs with huge ticks in their ears. Trypophobics do not google!

Deathraystare · 25/02/2020 15:21

I shouldn't have done it as was on work computer. I am a fan of a lot of punk and metal bands and particularly hardcore music. Yep you are way ahead of me!

I ended up getting charming pics of women with huge dildos in their mouths and women taking a dump. Lovely! I could have been sacked!

We'reallsquare and Nevergot

What's the crime you're refering to?

My wish I hadn't Googled was Baby the Bulldog. But not watching it doesn't mean it didn't happen Sad

Waxonwaxoff0 · 26/02/2020 21:16

The Junko Furuta murder case. I think about it often and wish I'd never looked it up.

Honkingallthewaytothebank · 26/02/2020 21:30

Thank you all for this list of things I never want to read or see
😂

NeverGotMyPuppy · 26/02/2020 21:59

@70isaLimitNotaTarget the 2 that have stayed with me are Junko Furuta and Baby Brianna. They have genuinely made me sadder than I was before I read about them.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/02/2020 21:42

Junko Furuta and Baby Brianna

I hadn't read about Baby Brianna but Oh! Shock Sad Angry

Two victims powerless against abuse .
In both cases the parents of one of the abusers were aware and did nothing

Brianna should have celebrated her 18th on Valentines Day . Poor baby didn't even see 6 months.....and it sounds like every day of her short life was living hell.

FemiLANGul · 27/02/2020 22:04

Goatse

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/02/2020 23:24

Won't say. Ended up vomiting out of shock and saying "can you imagine" 100 times a day to my husband for at least 3 days

What was it?

Oh , jings, Goatse that would sting a bit Shock

Blackredblack · 28/02/2020 00:03

I’ve just googled Baby Brianna. Absolutely heartbreaking. I actually have a physical pain in my chest. That poor, beautiful child.

I hope her parents and uncle rot in hell, evil sadistic shits 😡

Lol guys relax two girls one cup is fake 😅

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 28/02/2020 01:23

That awful story in the news recently of the boy forced to kneel on buckwheat for hours so that it rooted in his knees. I am just about ready to reach in and fear my brain out to get the picture of his knees out of my brain :( poor kid

balletpanda · 28/02/2020 01:31

I have to say I have a strong stomach and usually can at least read about what happened during some really awful abuse cases but dear god I didn't read the full thread with all the warnings and I just read about Junko Furuta and I've never been sadder than I am right now. How can humans do this.

BecauseReasons · 28/02/2020 06:56

@ArthurandJessie

Well, no shit. Grin

Still bloody disgusting though.

SinkGirl · 28/02/2020 07:43

Back in my youth, someone introduced me to rotten.com - we were on dial up then and the pictures would load in very slowly, it was like an endurance test to see if you could sit there until the whole image was loaded.

The two that stick in my mind are photos of a man who’d had a high speed motorcycle accident while not wearing a helmet and lost pretty crucial parts of his face, and a man cut in half by a train.

MorrisZapp · 28/02/2020 07:51

Through my work I met a man who had survived a childhood in an Irish Industrial School. I found out a bit about it, became horrified/fascinated, and read some books written by other survivors.

I'm now wishing I'd just never heard of it. I can't get the terrified little boys out of my mind. It's stopping me fully enjoying my 9 year old ds who has all the love and care he could ever wish for.

Dowser · 28/02/2020 08:33

The celebs unmasked photos, including the royal one in the news at the moment
I needed eye bleach.
I found it totally shocking. It’s just horrible.
I can’t believe they aren’t photo shopped and if they are it still needs shopping.
Children could so easily see them .

Dowser · 28/02/2020 08:34

Stopping
I’m surprised there aren’t law suits pending

CigarsofthePharoahs · 28/02/2020 08:52

I googled Junko Furuta last time it was mentioned on here, despite warnings not to. Left me feeling sick for days. All I can say is that there are rare times I'm glad of the brain fog that comes with fibromyalgia as I've forgotten most of it.
Don't watch the Netflix series "Don't F* With Cats" either. Ugh ugh ugh.

xenophilius · 28/02/2020 09:23

Morris I felt the same watching the Magdalene Sisters/Sex in a Cold Climate having been brought up devoutly Catholic and believing priests and nuns were infallible ... I was too young in retrospect (14 or 15) and couldn’t stop crying after . Now older I find it even harder to hide my revulsion .

xenophilius · 28/02/2020 09:25

A ‘friend’ also suggested googling Junko Furuta at about age 16/17 - absolutely horrific - I’m not at all sure what she was googling in the first place, just awful . Haven’t googled it since .

ArthurandJessie · 28/02/2020 11:00

Haha you can say 'no shit' but people really believe that stuff is real 😅 did the rounds when I was in secondary school 🙄 just don't google one man one jar ... 😅

AxisOfDick · 28/02/2020 11:13

I have to say, i looked up a condition on wikipaedia and it had a photo of an autopsied baby on it. Ive been really upset about it ever since but i can't even bring myself to report it because presumably I'd have to go back to the page.

Id really appreciate some advice if anyone is reading this. Absolutely inhumane treatment of a child. Ive often wanted ask MN but never been able to raise it in my own head.

gospelsinger · 28/02/2020 11:22

Now I'm wishing I hadn't even clicked on this thread.
