Closed down or discontinued - what do you miss?

My local Oasis closed down before Christmas and I miss it so much! I've just been browsing their website and it's just not the same as seeing something on the hanger and thinking "ooh that's pretty!"
My favourite perfume and lipstick have been discontinued. I've been stockpiling thanks to ebay but they've been gone so long now I don't think I will get any more of either now. I won't look or smell the same soon Sad
What do you miss?
I fully expect this thread to be lots of people missing Woolworths and yes I still miss them too

Asiama..I was a Saturday girl on woolies sweet counter in the 1960s aged just 15
I got 19s 9d for an 8 hour shift ( and all the sweets I could eat)😂
It was so hard standing on my feet for all that time. Most sweets were unwrapped. Maltezers came in a 26lb box..and they were heavenly when fresh

BHS and woolies have been a big miss and some of the stores mentioned I didn’t even know had gone as we never had them in our town anyway
Kookai, jane norman etc

Hopefullysmart · 20/02/2020 09:19

Yes to Abby Crunch biscuits and Almond Vidal Sassoon as PPs have said! I forgot the former ever existed 🤤 but I miss them now!

I loved that VS shampoo. Must be 30 years ago since I used that.

Also miss BHS, I still have lamps and towels from there, and an amazing vintagey sideboard that no one would ever guess or believe was from there.

FCUK grapefruit shower gel. Never found another with the same lovely fragrance* Do try Origins Gloomaway if you can find it. Their main site doesnt seem to show it any more. I use their Ginger as I really like a citrus product.

DuckyMcDuck · 20/02/2020 10:25

Tchibo shops - they had new stuff in every week and a gorgeous coffee shop (and you got a free biscuit!)

Oliversmumsarmy · 20/02/2020 10:29

Jane Norman used to have great stuff. Lipsey just doesn’t cut it

Yabadee · 20/02/2020 11:30

Micro noodles 😫

Was watching Corrie the other night and noticed Devs still had some on the shelf. Wonder if they are real and if they would give me them 🤔

peaceanddove · 20/02/2020 11:37

Laura Ashley's L'Eau perfume.

Poutintrout · 20/02/2020 11:47

Yes to Vidal Sassoon shampoo that smelled of almonds. I still live in the futile hope of finding a shampoo with a similar scent.

Mingles
Terry's Neapolitans
Coconut Boost
Star Bars that were the size of a baby's forearm, not the pathetic puny specimens they are now
Milka gateau

There's so much I miss from the high street. I remember going shopping with my mates into Leicester and Birmingham and the shops were amazing. Even my poky little home town high street was a great place to shop.

Browsing on the internet and buying online is very convenient, but I'm sad that the high street is dying Sad

Herocomplex · 20/02/2020 13:34

Terrys Neapolitans. I was trying to remember those recently. Incredible decadence.

I loved Vidal Sassoon shampoo, I thought it smelt like marzipan.

Bunnylady54 · 20/02/2020 13:40

Woolies used to do pick & mix for those Jellybelly jellybeans & I really miss that cos I don’t like all the flavours in a packet or jar. Nowhere else seems to do that. You can go on the website but then need to pay postage.

HerGrapeness · 20/02/2020 13:41

I miss Original Source deodorant. It came in Orange, Lemon and I think, Mint (maybe more flavours?). It was the best.

DorisDances · 20/02/2020 13:55

Racing Green and Kew

DontCallMeShitley · 20/02/2020 14:22

Aussie Citrifier shampoo. Some years ago ingredients for shampoo in general were changed, all the ones I used either vanished or were re-formulated, and that one vanished.

Herbal Essences, the original one - clarifying shampoo also went.

Cadburys and Galaxy chocolate when it was made from chocolate and milk, not palm oil and sugar. And Cadburys chocolate pretzels.

Ridingthegravytrain · 20/02/2020 14:27

Corn silk face powder

serialtester · 20/02/2020 14:37

Salon Selectives conditioner. Loved the smell!

hairypear1234 · 20/02/2020 14:38

Ribena. You can only buy the shite with artificial sweetener now.
RIP Ribena.

twosoups1972 · 20/02/2020 14:40

Dayvilles ice cream in Golders Green. Their tiger stripe ice cream was to die for.

dragonlangx · 20/02/2020 14:42

Another one for BHS here - I could always find decent boots and shoes for work in there and now I am struggling to find ones that don't have a 47inch heel and don't leak when you look at them funny.
Also woollies and the Waverley Market in Edinburgh in the 90's when it had the craft bit downstairs, the best sweetshop and a really lovely chemist upstairs which had tons of things you couldn't get anywhere else

reynholmindustries · 20/02/2020 14:43

Impulse

reynholmindustries · 20/02/2020 14:44

Posted too soon - Impulse O2 and Goddess

Ralph Lauren Cool perfume

Mizz, Sugar and Bliss magazine ... used to hide them from my mum back in c2002!

twosoups1972 · 20/02/2020 14:45

Food wise I miss Kellogg’s puffa puffa rice cereal, coffee matchmakers and Ovaltine chocolate bars
