Closed down or discontinued - what do you miss?

My local Oasis closed down before Christmas and I miss it so much! I've just been browsing their website and it's just not the same as seeing something on the hanger and thinking "ooh that's pretty!"
My favourite perfume and lipstick have been discontinued. I've been stockpiling thanks to ebay but they've been gone so long now I don't think I will get any more of either now. I won't look or smell the same soon Sad
What do you miss?
I fully expect this thread to be lots of people missing Woolworths and yes I still miss them too

OP posts:

Cheese and tomato potato puffs

Roselilly36 · 20/02/2020 08:05

Woolies, pacer mints, cabana bars.

Roselilly36 · 20/02/2020 08:06

Oh yes Burtons puffs were amazing too

HalfBloodPrincess · 20/02/2020 08:09

Was thinking of buttons puffs too. And Piglets.

Linens Direct. Had some terrific buys for curtains and cushion covers etc.

BHS for lamp shades, curtains also and various items of clothing.

HowlsMovingBungalow · 20/02/2020 08:12

BHS - their lighting dept used to have some good quality pieces.
Woolies.
Past Times - used to be great for odd bits and bobs giftwise.
Adams.

thebear1 · 20/02/2020 08:12

ToysRus, but for the nostalgia of taking the DC when they had birthday money etc. If it was still here I probably wouldn't use it. I miss Etam and Bay Trading.

wantingahome · 20/02/2020 08:14

Micro noodles and mint wispas!

TopOfTheGherkin · 20/02/2020 08:16

Various perfumes. My beloved Love, Chloe. I have back-up bottles but I know one day they’ll run out and it goes for silly prices on eBay now Angry. YSL Manifesto L’Elixir has been discontinued, too, and although it’s still available online it’s getting harder to find. Damn it!

Bodyshop L’Eau de White Musk body lotion. They randomly bring it back sometimes, but never for long.

Tigi Shine Junkie. Lovely, lightweight shine gel/serum that smelled heavenly.

Oliversmumsarmy · 20/02/2020 08:18

Schwarzkopf used to do a hair dye. It was packaged to resemble a little handbag.

It was the only hair dye I could use that didn’t leave me with a scalp that resembled the craters of the moon

My hair is a complete mess as I have so many different colours going on. Brown, mousey with lots of strands grey and some black.
I used to be a black/brown with a hint of auburn

I have looked at when I turn completely grey on photo shop.
Grey doesn’t suit me

Dogwalks2 · 20/02/2020 08:21

M&S chicken in a basket crisps. Not had them for 25 years but I can still remember how tasty they were.

Craftycorvid · 20/02/2020 08:23

Ah, so many things I’ve loved that got discontinued or ruined by ‘progress’. I’d love to be able to timewarp back to the eighties every so often but only for: the original Body Shop; the original Top Shop and Chelsea Girl and a proper department store with a coffee shop and fierce women of the Mrs Slocombe ilk presiding over the make-up counter.

JillAmanda · 20/02/2020 08:26

Revlon Ultima II Sheer Scent.

FilledSoda · 20/02/2020 08:27

Helena Rubinstein silk fashion foundation

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 20/02/2020 08:28

I loved Kew too

Sainsbury’s used to do a St Clements and Lime juice. Gone with no warning.

anon2000000000 · 20/02/2020 08:33

I've never got over boots discontinuing my blusher soft damson.

CherryPavlova · 20/02/2020 08:37

I think it’s just the whole pottering around town experience. No Woolworths to buy the children’s Saturday sweets, no Army and Navy to find evening wear and good work wear, fewer independent retailers that made the city centre unique. Empty shops just make town centres look depressed.

tabbycat985 · 20/02/2020 08:37

Harajuku Lovers perfume in G
My heart breaks knowing I'm down to just a couple of bottles! & I'm taking the original because the variations they brought out aren't even remotely the same

edamismadebackwards · 20/02/2020 08:37

All the Kylie Darling perfumes, perfect for work and also a nice first teenager perfume.

NachoNachoMan · 20/02/2020 08:40

Past times - could always get nice little presents or jewelry in there.

The Glitter Babes kids make up range in Boots.

The spearmint polos with the little bluey green flecks in.

ReginaGeorgeous · 20/02/2020 08:40

I still miss Jane Norman, Kookai and Morgan.

Stella McCartney In Two Peony perfume. She's discontinued it twice Angry

Comefromaway · 20/02/2020 08:42

Woolworths. I used to get so much stuff from there.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 20/02/2020 08:49

Cadbury fuse bars

Going into Woolworths for the latest single and b side on cassette

Dr Pepper with sugar not sweeteners

Dowser · 20/02/2020 08:54

BHS..their boots in the sale, their skirtinis, their sales, everything
B and m took over their store..if they upped the ante a little, they could take over their spot as it’s a two storey store

Origins..sea fever perfume
Morny French fern soap

Ihatesundays · 20/02/2020 08:54

Tesco’s direct. I find so little in our actual store but used to order lots online and get it delivered to our local Tesco’s Express Store.
