Bluntness, I heard someone from the CPS being interviewed this morning, responding to the criticism levelled against the prosecutors.

There’s a lot that’s worrying about Andrew’s statement.
There’s a lot that’s worrying about Lewis’s wording in his Instagram posts.

There are articles from 2018 about how Andrew had called an ambulance for Caroline after they’d had a fight and it had come and she’d refused to go. Exactly the same as recently. That time though, her management seemed to downplay it and say she was fine and didn’t need to go to hospital. IIRC they made out it was all a bit of a mountain out of a molehill. So I can see that he might have a point about that.

I also thought earlier (and this is very specific to an intensely abusive relationship I was in - I'm not implying the same about Caroline Flack), that it's crossed my mind since I left my ex that he might kill himself for the ultimate 'revenge'. He knows I'd never get over that and blame myself forever. Stockholm Syndrome is very real.

@bluebell34567 I honestly dont think it's to do with being blamed. I think there are still feelings there and he's now grieving and wondering what could have been. I feel the same about a guy I dated 25 years ago. If i found out he killed himself I'd be distraught. You can move on yet still have feelings for a person

Thanks Spanish. My approach is to fake it until I make it, seems to be working 90% of the time for me. Things will get better for your friend I promise. I thought I was fully locked into my relationship, completely trapped, so if I went from that to living a semi-normal life, I know it's possible for others to do the same. I'm sure I read somewhere that Andrew called an ambulance as he said Cf threatened to kill herself. He then retracted his statement apologising and she denied it. She's obviously been unwell for a long time. Her relationships seem very toxic. She was probably scared of the trial and what would come out, she probably knew her career would be over and she would possibly face a prison sentence. She didn't have any children or marriage so she would have lost everything add that to her vulnerability and the trolls and media bashing and having too much time to thinkiys not surprising she felt she had lost everything and had no where to go.

There is a cartoonist in Derbyshire, Samuel Hague, who does 'controversial' card design/very crude or black humour.
Some are a matter of taste eg Valentines (Roses are red, violets are glorious, never surprise Oscar Pistorius) Mother's Day (Thanks for never joining ISIS/hiding me under a bed etc) Others are just LCD stuff.
He did a card with a cartoon of Caroline on the front with 'I'm going to fucking lamp you' written on it.
This was reported in the Sun around lunchtime on Valentine's Day. Not really news and nothing she would have seen or known about had it not been escalated by the tabloids. Would have been a trigger for anyone feeling vulnerable.
The artist at the time had no comment to make other than he had joked about worse. There is an argument to be made for freedom of expression. The tabloid story was wholly unnecessary.

There's a rumour that HS was really in a relationship with Nick Grimshaw and Caroline Flack was acting as a 'beard'. Who knows whether it's true or not? If it is, she was a bloody good friend because she got an awful lot of abuse for that. She was even labelled a paedophile which was ridiculous anyway.

Caroline looked so broken in the pictures of her when it previously went to court. I think the media scrum probably made her realise how it was going to play out and she just couldn't face it. Added with the supposed police cam with video evidence of her being restrained and the fall out over her career - which I guess would have been over - were probably what sent her over the edge.
I'm not judging her, but I do understand why others are. RIP Caroline.

I don’t believe the Grimshaw rumour. All her partners appear to have been 12/13 years younger. I wonder why.

I had read Caroline was bearding (flatmates with Grimmy at the time). Given the age gap I personally wouldn't have agreed to that unless I subscribed to all publicity being good.
I was a bit eyerolly about the 10 years between Liam Payne and Cheryl, given they first set eyes on each other when he was 15 but they got together when he was 22. I need new judgy pants clearly. Don't get me started on Phillip Schofield.

The cartoonist has a dark sense of humour as domestic violence is not to be joked about.

Such a lot of hot air written about this very sad death.

She had recently turned 40.
She was facing a criminal record.
The trial would very likely have revealed unpleasant things from her personal life.
Her career was over.
Her relationship was over (realistically),
She didn’t have children.
Her mental health was poor.

All this happening in a private individual’s life would be hard to take. The public nature Of her downfall was clearly intolerable to her.

All celebs get trolled.
All celebs get unwanted media attention.

She got a lot of good publicity over the years as well and also had a lot of fans.

All these celebs hashtagging and blaming trolls and the media ate self-serving. Look at them all crawling out of the woodwork to reveal some vague link to her from years ago. All to raise their profile. All attention-seekers. Anyone genuinely grieving would shut up and go away to weep privately.

Be Kind! The CPS have killed her (because how dare they prosecute a beautiful celebrity?). The social media trolls killed her (because she couldn’t have deleted her accounts?). The media ruined her life - not really. They called her a cougar for dating younger men and reported the details of her arrest and magistrate hearing. The Valentines’ card thing was very bad.

Sometimes very unwell people take their own lives. I can see exactly why she did it. Her poor family.

I doubt very much whether anyone would have batted an eyelid had this been a male presenter though whereas women are always portrayed as needy, desperate or cougars.

I dont believe she properly dated Harry.
Last few years all her relationship s were very short term.
Think Jack Street one was one of the longest.
I also read it was known in showbiz circles she dated women too.
No idea if that was another reason she was troubled.

@YouCanNeverHaveEnoughGIitter On this very thread there is scrutiny of Schofield and Grimshaw sexuality and partners do for me it does not stand that had she been male she’d have been treated lightly. Look at Barrymore even.
