I bought some delightful heritage eggs today. Two blue, two white and two brown from rare breed hens.

I know it's absolutely ridiculous but they make me so happy. The blue ones are so pretty!

So what silly or daft thing has made you happy today?

@morrisseysquif I laughed out loud at the picture your post presented in my head. You sitting there through hours and hours of Last Tango with miles of scarf piling up around you. The never ending scarf.

Perhaps it can be wound around into a ...

POM POM?

New books, new tights, clean bedding that has been dried outside and ironed.

RickOShay · 08/02/2020 09:13

The pompom has arrived.
Bit of a disaster tbh. But lessons learnt

Took so long to cut that ds2 did a time lapse video Grin
Wool is EVERYWHERE and the cardboard broke under the strain.
It’s not round.

Hurray for the pompom!
I think it looks great.

RickOShay · 08/02/2020 09:25

Thanks @PennyGold

I think it's great! Lovely mixture of colours. Any cat interest so far?

Yesterdayforgotten · 08/02/2020 14:15

I love blue eggs, we get ours from a supermarket and the yolks are so tasty.

Great pompom. I love it. You could trim it if you wish, but I love that it is wild and wooly. Great work!

RickOShay · 08/02/2020 20:53

Nope. They’ve sniffed it. Dc keep chucking it and loads of wool falls out.
Thank you, but honestly it is a mess!

Stompythedinosaur · 08/02/2020 22:47

That is a work of art!

florababy84 · 09/02/2020 07:10

That's brilliant! Pom-poms usually need a bit of trimming to make them round.

About a year ago we had a big storm and a power cut and I was woefully unprepared. So I went out last year and created an emergency box. Well the weather has been perfect for all that time but today we have had a huge storm and another power cut and I have been able to use my camping stove, camping kettle, power pack etc and have felt so prepared and organised!

I’m even slightly hoping it won’t come back on this evening so I can use my lanterns.

I get really excited about reality TV. When the Apprentice or the X Factor or the Voice or Love Island or anything like that is being teased, I get really excited in anticipation and then I look forward to every episode so much. It is my biggest pleasure in life (other than my DD if course).

I get childishly excited when I see pin the tail being played: I get caught up in the whole "who's going to win?". When I was a teenager at the birthday party of some younger relatives, I was in charge of the blindfolding and the spinning when they played pin the tail, and I took this task seriously: I made quite sure there was no cheating.

I think after reading this thread, I need to have a game of Pin the Pompom on the cheerleader. It's a lovely word, Pompom!
