Daft things you're excited about

I bought some delightful heritage eggs today. Two blue, two white and two brown from rare breed hens.

I know it's absolutely ridiculous but they make me so happy. The blue ones are so pretty!

So what silly or daft thing has made you happy today?

Things that make me happy - picking up a thriller paperback book in tesco during food shop. Having a lovely clean fridge to put away said food shop. Laying out brand new pyjamas on the radiator to get toasty for my kids getting out of the bath. The softness of new bed sheets against freshly shaved legs The first coffee when I have returned from the school run and the house is all quiet after the drama of getting everyone out the door. The smell of old books. Thunderstorms in summer. Cutting into a poached egg and the yolk being orange and not to soft not to hard slightly melty in middle.

I could go on and on

A really good spot with a nice squeeze to it.

Peeling off a solid nose pore strip and inspecting it.

I'm gross.

Umpiring a netball match: this is a new venture, having been playing for a few years, and I'm excited every time I pick up my whistle (while maintaining my stony umpire face during the game). I thought if you can't beat the refs, then join them.

Finding my favourite flowers in the bargain bucket in the supermarket

Finishing off toiletries

I also love a new kitchen sponge, the aaah feeling of sitting down for the first time that day, an afternoon nap on a cold, rainy day, an awaited new episode of a box set.

Pegging my washing outside for the first time in the new year - fingers crossed for a sunny and breezy spring!

I have a newish friend that is willing to go for long dog walks with me-none of my other friend have ever wanted to. I love having someone to walk with!

Doing my new activity of swimming in a lovely local pool.
Fresh bedsheets as I had last night.
Putting on the nice scented candle I've chosen - lemongrass.
A night in to myself with DP away!
Collecting DS2 who moved schools recently - the place is lovely and he is so happy compared to how he used to be. I've never 'almost enjoyed' the school run before!

The ritual my DH and I have when he wraps presents for me - hopefully imminent with Valentine's Day! While he does it, I'm there trying to hear what he's wrapping - I can't see because I'm blindfolded. This little ceremony always gets me excited.

I love all of these!

Another one here for the mega Pom Pom.

I have a vast collection of coffee mugs and it is a tiny joy each morning to choose which specific mug matches my mood for the day. I sometimes start thinking about it the night before..

I gain immense joy from all sorts of funny things...will write up a list later. Lists make me very happy. 😊😊

Buying tea I haven't tried yet (or ones I know I love.) I have an impressive collection of boxes of tea going on in my cupboard.

The very first cup of coffee in the morning when I am the only one up and everything is quiet.
