Some of my tips:
Change all your accessible plug sockets for ones with integrated USB ports. I have two in the kitchen like this, it's nearer as no plug in chargers.
In the bedrooms I have four gang extensions which have USB ports, so the lamp, hairdryer etc can be plugged in and phone charger leads directly into the adaptor and again no bulky charger plugs. Good for visitors too.
In the living room I have a plug tower with six sockets and four USB. Has the lamp, laptop (or two) and usually one phone but sometimes two on charge.
Buy Sterodent or whatever it's called for false teeth. Transfer to a jar in the bathroom. Throw one down the loo now and then, keeps scale away. Use the Tube for pound coins in the car or as pocket money tubes for the kids/school money etc.
I do a tray of roasted veg each weekend and roasted spicy cauliflower, put them in tubs in the fridge and add to salads for work lunches or add to dinner. Can be used cold or reaheated, added to cous cous etc. Squash, courgette and celeriac current favourites.
I also chop a pineapple on a Sunday and tub up, add some pomegranate seeds, should make four or five mini fruit salads to take to work.
I've changed to online shopping, it has its downside but right now it's making my life easier.
Keep a vacuum cleaner on every floor, I started this when I had a three storey house but I still do it now. Also, cleaning stuff in each loo/bathroom so you don't have to go and get them to do a bit of cleaning.
Keep a couple of those collapsible trays near the front door ready to move grocery deliveries into. They don't take up much room when flattened.
I use tubs for everything. And those Lakeland ones with the handle on are great for small things in the kitchen cupboard and easy to lift out to check - I keep all the flavourings and food colouring type stuff in one of those. I keep almost all packaging, and I reuse anything as a bin bag. Especially those free charity bags you get and outer bags from clothes deliveries (if I'm not sending anything back).
