Help me name that song #2

Inspired by other thread with hardly any detail.

I’m American. Was in Rome at an Irish pub with karaoke. An 80s pop song came on and all the British and Scottish people I was with knew every word. It was upbeat and I loved it. But I’d never heard it before. We are all the same age so I know all of the English music that was popular in the US in the 80s.

I’ll listen to anything you suggest here and see if that’s it.

I put Sophie Ellis Bextor on Pandora for the day. Her voice reminds me of the song, so maybe it will come up.

I’ll listen tonight to the ones listed above that I haven’t heard, too.

Alison Moyer was the singer with Yazoo. She wasn't AKA Yazoo. I'm going to suggest Torn by Natalie Imbruglia too.
