Which Star Trek ship would you like to serve on?

I love Star Trek and am looking forward to the new series Star Trek Picard on Amazon next week.

I’ve been thinking about which ship I would like to serve on. Tbh it is easy, Voyager!

I’m sure I’m not the only Trek fan (I’m not a Trekkie) here. Let’s see which is the most popular vessel.

Any bloody Cardassians out there can bugger off now.

I'm afraid I would be DS9 too. I don't like travel much.

Marcipex · 17/01/2020 21:10

The original.

BecauseReasons · 17/01/2020 21:12

@Tinselette1940. I don't like travel much either- if DS9 were an option, I'd be there. But, if we're operating beyond the scope of the question, I'd probably prefer a nice teaching job at the Academy.

Enterprise D

Nice and luxurious and plenty of recreational facilities.

BakewellTarts · 17/01/2020 21:14

My favourite series by a country mile is Discovery...not sure I'd want to serve on a starship in the middle of a shooting war though.

On this basis the original Enterprise with Kirk, Spock and McCoy.

CeibaTree · 17/01/2020 21:14

Enterprise D under Picard for me, no contest!

Balloondog · 17/01/2020 21:14

@iklboo GrinGrinGrin

Enterprise D and JLP for me hands down. I grew up with TNG - I used to watch every Wednesday evening with my Mum and we'd share a dark chocolate bounty week in week out for years until I went off to uni. Lovely memories Smile

Can't wait for Picard! Anyone else in Manchester area go on the Picard simulator in Piccadilly gardens before Christmas?

Babdoc · 17/01/2020 21:21

The original series Enterprise. I’ve had a massive crush on Mr Spock for over fifty years. As a doctor myself, I’d fight McCoy to the death for the chance to do all Spock’s medical check ups! Not to mention dealing with his pon farr every seven years....Grin

januarysickntiredofyou · 17/01/2020 21:26

As helpful person said - Enterprise under Captain Pike as portrayed in Discovery. Please make a series!!

TheWorldAsh · 17/01/2020 21:32

Ok, in order:

Enterprise 1701-E - I love the Sovereign class.

Enterprise 1701 - Under Pike from Discovery (I have a crush on Anson Mount as Pike and yes I'm a man)

Voyager. Again love the Intrepid Class.

Reliant. Who doesn't like a Miranda class?

Non Federation ships?

Probably the D7. Love that classic Klingon look. Then the Vorcha. Then the D'Deridex class.

Anyway all those pale compared to the White Star. I'd rather be in the Babylon 5 universe.

But yeah I'm a big Trek fan too.

TheWorldAsh · 17/01/2020 21:33

@januarysickntiredofyou rumour is it's going to happen. I hope so as Anson Mount was great as Pike.

Aposterhasnoname · 17/01/2020 21:35

I want to be under Picard, and Riker

MyuMe · 17/01/2020 21:40

@Aposterhasenoname

At the same time ?! Wink

Tinselette1940 · 17/01/2020 21:40

aposter 😉 😁

Tinselette1940 · 17/01/2020 21:45

@becausereasons, Excellent! I work at a University so perhaps I could have a transfer. Liked the look of the Academy in the Chris Pine movie. (Promise I'd behave with Pine as Kirk - wouldn't be ethical)

Aposterhasnoname · 17/01/2020 21:46

At the same time ?!

cannotmakemymindup · 17/01/2020 21:47

Agree with Christopher Pike Enterprise from Discovery.
And Enterprise under James T. Kirk from Star Trek Kelvin timeline. I mean 'Thor' was his dad. (Watched today, I had forgotten that wonderful detail)

ginghambox · 17/01/2020 21:52

Pretty much any bar NCC-1701-D.The entire crew being a bunch of slapped arses.
The best ST vessel is Species 8472 bioship.
End ofSmile

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 17/01/2020 21:58

All this Trek talk is compelling me to play Star Trek Online again.

NotTheMrMenAgain · 17/01/2020 22:00

To be honest I think I'd pretty much be happy anywhere where there were holodecks and replicators that make any food/drink on request - no more cooking! Grin

SallyLovesCheese · 17/01/2020 22:04

Enterprise D, for sure. Love a bit of Picard!

(Although growing up watching it I had a thing for Wil Wheaton. I knew I was a grown up when I realised I'd switched to Patrick Stewart!)

sweetkitty · 17/01/2020 22:08

Enterprise under Picard although I would have to make some staff changes, Deanna Troi first to go she’s utterly useless “Captain I’m sensing something” no shit Deanna. Beverley and Geordi can bugger off too.

I wouldn’t mind being in a turbo lift stick between Chris Pines Kirk and Zachary Quintos Spock.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 17/01/2020 22:14

Voyager. Also had a Tom Paris thing in the 90s as a teenager. Eek. DH loves DS9 and I forgive him.

zen1 · 17/01/2020 22:18

I know it’s not technically Star Trek, but I’d serve on the Orville.

grannyjacob · 17/01/2020 22:21

Would have to be the Enterprise D. I loved, loved, loved Data. Was totally jealous when Tasha Yar did the dirty with him. Prior to Data, I also always found Mr Spock strangely attractive and appealing. Having said that, I'd be happy to serve under Jason Isaacs any day. Absolutely brilliant to see there's so many Star Trek devotees on here.
