Which Star Trek ship would you like to serve on?

I love Star Trek and am looking forward to the new series Star Trek Picard on Amazon next week.

I’ve been thinking about which ship I would like to serve on. Tbh it is easy, Voyager!

I’m sure I’m not the only Trek fan (I’m not a Trekkie) here. Let’s see which is the most popular vessel.

Any bloody Cardassians out there can bugger off now.

No contest

Starship Enterprise with Captain Kirk (when William Shatner was young before the corset)

Brain, Brain What is Brain

DJ brought our tiny DS down to watch Trouble with Tribbles and Spocks Brain when he was 5 days old .

Def Ent.D i would make anything "so" for JLP but I did like Voyager too.
But Scott B is gorgeous and a worthy captain. I want to be on all of them!

And yes there is something utterly entrancing about Gul Dukat. You keep willing him to give in to his good side which peeps through now and again and stop following the rules.😂
Same goes for Q, the psychotic bastard but what a twinkle in his eye😉

But B5 was amazing I loved it and the storyline. Sobbed when Marcus died. might still have a box of magazines in my attic i have a few dvds on my bookshelf.

Definitely Voyager with Chakotay, Paris, the Holodeck and always been curious about Neelix's culinary 'delights'

@Willow2017. I knew I wasnt the only one. I've written a fanfiction about him and his better side.

I never really liked Q, but John de Lancie seems so damned nice that opinion changed.

Willow2017 · 17/01/2020 20:09

It looks like it's you and me against the world Tali😄

Deadheadstickeronacadillac · 17/01/2020 20:10

NX01 only so I could follow Scott Bakula in that jumpsuit all day... Blush

Willow2017 · 17/01/2020 20:10

Oops it deleted my last sentence!

Yes JDL seems a nice guy.

ColdWinterChild · 17/01/2020 20:12

My heart belongs to DS9 and Quark. I love the dynamic of that whole base.

Deadheadstickeronacadillac · 17/01/2020 20:13

However new reboot Enterprise with Bruce Greenwood as Christopher Pike....he is very huggable.
Yep I am that much of a nerd that I have attended at least 4 trek conventions and met a number of cast members from the different shows

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 17/01/2020 20:14

Oh, there was a Cardassian on TNG, called Gul Lemec. He had the most fantastic smile. Gorgeous and yet, so sinister.

babypeach · 17/01/2020 20:18

I am very excited to have even this thread. No one I know likes Star Trek except me and I’ve watched it since I was a teen in the 90sGrin

I like them all but would loved to have worked on Picard’s Enterprise or with Janeway BUT for other reasons would have been happy working on DS9 with Bashir or Voyager with Chakote...!

FlaskMaster · 17/01/2020 20:19

Oh I just remembered the film with Chris Pine. I would totally, totally grace that officer's mess!

Likethebattle · 17/01/2020 20:25

Voyager without being so far from home.

BecauseReasons · 17/01/2020 20:28

DS9 isn’t even a contender people, the question was which SHIP.

OK, fair point. I'll ponder further.

Clangus00 · 17/01/2020 20:30

Ok.... due to the fact I said DS9....I’ll change & go with The Defiant.

1point21gigawatts · 17/01/2020 20:33

I immediately thought Voyager as well, no thought required strangely as I know, objectively that Janeway was a bit shit. I think, like pps have said, it's the family like.feel to it. They're really all in it together and the cast were all really good. (Except Neelix. He can feck off out of the nearest airlock!)

And if we're talking films, I need the Dr to see me now....(Karl, not DeForest!!)

ToftheB · 17/01/2020 20:34

USS Enterprise – NCC-1701-D for me please. I love the crew from TNG. I'd be in engineering with Geordi, but quietly lusting after Captain Picard.

ThankyouwithacapitalR · 17/01/2020 20:34

Voyager, hands down. Never tire of watching it!

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 17/01/2020 20:40

Genuinely agog that so many of you would choose Voyager Shock Enterprise D, every time.

I am beyond excited for Picard Grin

BecauseReasons · 17/01/2020 20:40

Thank you! You're also right in that there's more of a family feel, but I feel that's a double-edged sword because, although they're more likely to legitimately mourn the passing of your red-shirted self, you're also stuck with them. Like a long family Christmas that never ends, and fun Uncle Neelix gets miiiiiighty annoying by the time boxing day roles around.

BecauseReasons · 17/01/2020 20:41

*rolls around

TheQueenSnortsAvocados · 17/01/2020 20:46

I can see that there are so, SO many reasons why Voyager is a poor choice, but...

you’d be lost on voyager, away from all your loved ones. I don’t think you’ve thought this through at all.

Being away is what swings it for me!!

Although you Wesley-bashers can fuck right off. Wesley is awesome. (Saying that, Janeway would never let a teenager pilot her ship).

Golfcart · 17/01/2020 20:51

The Kobyashi Maru*

*actually that was a non military vessel thus spoiling my smartarse response.

BecauseReasons · 17/01/2020 20:53

Well, according to 'List of Deaths Wiki', aside from Deep Space Nine, Archer's Enterprise has fewest casualties, so I'd probably plump for that. Plus, there's a dog on board.

Awrite · 17/01/2020 21:06

I know DS9 is not a ship but I'd choose there nonetheless. Had an odd thing for Odo.

Next would be Voyager. Chakotay could do with the company.
