Which Star Trek ship would you like to serve on?

I love Star Trek and am looking forward to the new series Star Trek Picard on Amazon next week.

I’ve been thinking about which ship I would like to serve on. Tbh it is easy, Voyager!

I’m sure I’m not the only Trek fan (I’m not a Trekkie) here. Let’s see which is the most popular vessel.

Any bloody Cardassians out there can bugger off now.

Anyway, there's no reason to suppose that in a few decades let alone a few centuries, Michael won't be a perfectly normal female name, as has happened with many others.

My suspension of disbelief just didn’t carry that far since it hasn’t been a thing in any other ST series grump grump.

Beverley was originally a masculine name - it's just one that's already crossed over.

Yes but Michael has not. Maybe if I imagine a future where Derry girls became so insanely popular that people started naming girls after sr Michael so Michael became a girls name - this mental manoeuvre might work.

Just watching First Contact. Ethan Phillip's (Neelix) is a hologram in it.

I don't see why Michael couldn't cross over to be a girl's name. Sydney did. Although it still sounds very, very wrong to me, probably because I was already an adult when it suddenly got popular in the US, whereas Hilary, Shirley, Lynn etc were all in use before I was born.

I've just watched a show with Michael Dorn in it. Forgotten what a handsome man he is.

@Tinselette1940 many thanks for your concern. My sinuses are being treated with copious volumes of gin - which seems to be working.

Captains log has always made me snigger 🤭
