If we continue to pay for security for this pair, they should do something in exchange. Visit hospitals or old people or schools or something: there are enough people around who will still be impressed by royal people shaking their hand and saying, “have you come far?”.
Their doing sod all on our dollar whilst endorsing stuff in America for $$$ rather undermines the argument for our continuing to bankroll the entire bunch of idle poshos, doesn’t it? We’re normally told that we have to pay for their security and castles because, you know, they work so terribly hard for us and bring in the tourists and perpetuate grand traditions or whatever.
