... how many times a week do you wash up in the sink? Assuming everything you own is dishwasher-safe.

Everyday, but only massive pots that my husband has a penchant for. And pet food bowls.

I wash saucepans in sink as I have a 3/4 size dishwasher.

BadgerBadgerMushroom · 05/01/2020 18:37

Never ever

Never.

Hell would freeze over first.

TheFaerieQueene · 05/01/2020 18:39

I wash wine glasses as they are too good to put in dishwasher. Pretty much all the rest goes into the dishwashers.

WheresMyChocolate · 05/01/2020 18:39

Never. That's the whole point of a dishwasher. Even stuff that shouldn't go in goes in. If it doesn't survived then I don't want it anyway. Grin

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 05/01/2020 18:39

I still wash oven tins and pans.

ActualHornist · 05/01/2020 18:39

Once a week or so. And that’s only my cast iron pans which need a scrub but no shampoo.

Divebar · 05/01/2020 18:39

Everyday.... saucepans for some reason and big serving dishes that don’t fit in easily. We also have some vintage hand painted China that we wash by hand.

lettersbyowl · 05/01/2020 18:39

Once or twice a day for things (like water bottles, or very large pans) that wouldn't wash well or fit in the dishwasher.

LadyCordeliaVorkosigan · 05/01/2020 18:40

About once a year! We have one set of fancy wine glasses that need hand-washing, so it's those at Christmas and maybe a couple pots. Everything else just waits to go in the next load.

I do find that some people hardly pack anything into their dishwashers and then complain they still need to wash up.

DishwasherJan · 05/01/2020 18:40

THATS WHAT I FUCKING THOUGHT!!!

Why is my husband washing up at least once a day and more at weekends? Is it possibly because we have 3 small children and he wants some quiet time to listen to the radio? 🤔

Obviously I mean detergent not shampoo! Grin

PurpleCrazyHorse · 05/01/2020 18:41

Once a day maybe, or every other day. I sometimes mop up the odd item that doesn't quite fit in so the sides are clear.

We also have a few things that either are too tall (DC's school water bottles) or aren't dishwasher safe. Not many.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 05/01/2020 18:42

Ha ha, yes your DH is definitely hiding in the kitchen washing up to get some quiet time. I know that because I clean the kitchen for exactly the same reason (and also to eat sweets so the kids don't see me!)

Roselilly36 · 05/01/2020 18:43

Only wash by hand tins, pans & crystal glasses, everything else goes in the dishwasher.

KittenVsXmastree · 05/01/2020 18:45

Twice a day.
Pet food bowls in the morning.
Anything that doesn't fit in the dishwasher before bed - and by that I mean excess stuff, not physically too large, just more than the dishwasher can fit in, plus the sharp knives.

lisag1969 · 05/01/2020 18:46

Never. A bit Ocd everything has to be put in the dishwasher to be clean for me. 🙈 x

YappityYapYap · 05/01/2020 18:47

I only wash my cats food and water bowls in the sink with hot soapy water. The rest goes in the dishwasher. I do rinse off really saucy or oily pans though before I put them in
