Can't promise that I will exercise every day or eat healthy every day but I am going to try and be mindful of what I eat and try to be more active.

I'm 16 stone 5.5 lb, size 18/20 and am 5'.4"

Must remember that slow and steady wins the race.

I'll join you Iheartdoughnuts

I am at my heaviest ever, 14st 13lbs, which is 1lb heavier than this time last year.

I'm absolutely not going to have another year of yo-yoing. This year I am going to stop eating crap all the time. I'm going to put myself and my health at the top of my priority list. This time next year I will not be feeling like I do now (in bed with a stomach ache because I've treated myself like a human dusbin the day before).

I've had enough of feeling unwell, looking awful and being unfit.

Deathraystare · 01/01/2020 13:29

Yes I am going to join in; Healthier eating. Plenty of walking (I do this bit already). I have 5 stone to lose.

Pinkcloud88 · 01/01/2020 13:35

Ordered a 7 day Slim Fast starter pack yesterday. Also reading the Fast 800. Not quite sure what I am going to do yet, or how I'll tackle it (Will end up on 5:2, and 16:8 though) but I'm going to do something!
I'm 5' 6.5" and last time I weighed myself I was 15 stone 8ilbs. I seem to put all my weight on, on the stomach. I want to shrink that quite a bit.
Good luck to you all. Flowers

73kittycat73 · 01/01/2020 14:43

8lbs even. :)

2ndAugust · 01/01/2020 16:11

Also at my heaviest ever of roughly 12 stone. Too depressed about to actually weigh myself. Started HIT with my son this morning and managed 6 minutes, and went to the gym day before last. Going to aim for 10000 steps a day, gym 3 times a week and using Michael Moseley book of 8 week blood sugar diet. Want to loose 4 stone eventually, but two would be incredible. This is my year to do it.

Iheartdonuts · 01/01/2020 16:53

I'm glad I'm not on my own. I've been a member of a gym since July but haven't been since August. So I really need to start going again. And meal prepping as I don't have the time to cook on a daily basis.

I'm in. I too am at my heaviest, about 12 stone but I daren't check. I am pretty active usually but I changed job in the summer and now have a much longer commute so haven't been in the gym as much in the evenings.

Ideally I'd like to lose 2 stone.

2ndAugust · 01/01/2020 17:07

Same here about the change in job, I’m now sat at a desk for the first time in 13 years, which along with being Perimenopausal? has just seen my weight increase drastically. I spend all my time on my ds and elderly parents and none on myself. I work right by the sea and am aiming to go for a brisk walk lunchtimes too.

LikeGlitterandGold · 01/01/2020 17:09

Count me in. I'm just getting over the flu and have, while being so sick, decided things have to change. I want to be fitter, slimmer and more active this year. No more junk food or sweets!

MsTSwift · 01/01/2020 17:10

Slow and steady doesn’t win the race. Go in hard and fast. Michael Mosley 16 8 really works. I was just under 12 stone in Oct now 10stone 2.

Joyfulincolour · 01/01/2020 18:18

Yes, count me in. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning. I'm trying to avoid following a set diet or joining a club as I want to try to eat normal but healthy food.

Waterfor1 · 01/01/2020 18:22

Im 5ft 2" , 15 stone size 18 to 20 too.
I'm waiting for my exante delivery and will start Friday.
I tried lots of things, time to try something new. I plan to do it for 8 weeks to kick start the weight loss then do 4:3.

Waterfor1 · 01/01/2020 18:25

MsTSwift i agree i realised my biggest motivator is quick shift. I have loose skin already so dont care about that. I will be eating 800 kcals on exante kind of like Mosleys fast 800.

I have knee and foot pain and so this is why in my case its good to lose fast and is safe for me. My bmi is nearly 40 thats bordering morbidley obese 😞

Schoolinfoplease2020 · 01/01/2020 18:25

11 stone 13 at 5 foot 7.

Would love to get to 9 stone as getting married this year but I doubt it.

Am planning to lose by sticking to 1300 calories and see how that goes.

Good luck everyone.

JamieFraserskiltspeaksout · 01/01/2020 18:57

Can I join you? I'm 5ft 6 and somewhere around 14.5 stone but I cannot weigh or I think I'll just dissolve into a desperate mess.
I'm planning on cutting as much sugar out of my system as I can as my Achilles heel is cake, chocolate, biscuits etc I eat tonnes everyday.
Tomorrow it starts...I know I'm about to effectively go through detox and I'm petrified. But not as petrified of what people will think of me when I go back to work another half stone heavier :-(

Mollypolly2610 · 01/01/2020 19:17

I’ll join as my diet is always going to start “tomorrow”. Need lots of encouragement to kick start and see the lbs coming off.

MyKingdomforaNameChange · 01/01/2020 19:24

Can I join? 5'6, 13 ish stone.

I'm doing Slim n Save again as of Monday. I lost 2 1/2 stone in 3 months back in 2017, was really happy, but I've slipped back into bad habits this last year and put it back on.

Losing the weight isn't the hard bit for me, maintaining is :/ But now I know that I can plan for it!

pontiouspilates · 01/01/2020 19:27

Heaviest I've ever been at 12 stone. Id like to shift 2 stone. I've started countless diets, lost the weight, stopped dieting and piled it all back on, so I'm going to focus on more mindful eating, especially slowing down as I eat too quickly. Good luck to all!

blibblibs · 01/01/2020 19:37

Slim and save starts tomorrow. Just weighed myself and I have a bmi of 30 😮 that's the worst it's ever been.
I don't think my work clothes are going to fit on Monday unless I do something now.
Ideally I'd like to shift 2 stone but only planning on doing SnS for a few weeks to give me a kick start then I'll see what's going to work after that. Start a new full time job in two half weeks so will be a good opportunity to change bad habits I hope.

Schoolinfoplease2020 · 01/01/2020 20:01

Slim and save? Is that a £ for a lb? Or am I way off?

blibblibs · 01/01/2020 20:18

It's a VLCD/meal replacement diet.
The food is OK and plenty of choice along with a decent website and fb page to help keep you on track.
I'm not sure they are the best choice of diet but they do work and if like me you need instant results to stay on course then it works. Hard part is when you stop.

Schoolinfoplease2020 · 01/01/2020 20:22

Ahhhh!

HecateHecubaAndHexagons · 01/01/2020 20:24

16 weeks ago I was 17 stone 4.5lbs - the heaviest I've ever been (including pregnancies). I've now lost 3 stone with SW - still a lot to go though. I'm 5'4" too!

Slow and steady is good.....fast and furious is good. Do what suits you best, key thing is to make lifestyle changes and to keep the weight off.

I'm aiming for 12stone 4.5lbs by end of April!

Good luck to everyone......may the gods of the scales be kind to us!!!

Iheartdonuts · 01/01/2020 22:49

Good luck everyone. I shall be heading back to the gym when possible. Will try 3 times a week. Haven't worn my gym clothes since August so it'll be interesting trying to get back into them. I'm adamant that I am not buying new clothes as I have 3 black bags full of new or hardly worn clothes from years back. I did sell my bootcut jeans though. They were doing me no favours!
