It is 4am. Why are you reading this?

I haven't been to bed. Fell asleep with the kids at bedtime for a few hours and now I'm not tired. I'll be wrecked tomorrow Xmas Confused

Drunk a lot yesterday evening, woke up an hour ago with a hangover/still tipsy/a bit of a cold. Why are you awake?

kleew1 · 25/12/2019 04:00

My 2.5 year old wakes at 2am for playtime... first night of toughing it out so I’m currently lying cold on her floor on a giant teddy...

Same re tomorrow, still to put out gifts and have 8 round for dinner!!

MsAnnThropic · 25/12/2019 04:01

Hi! I got woken up by my youngest at 2... She had an achey foot. My eldest has just burst in to tell me she's just seen Santa's sleigh!... I think I might have to give up on sleep now!!

OldGrinch · 25/12/2019 04:01

Fell asleep bolt upright and fully clothed on sofa earlier after couple of tipples Grin woke up about an hour ago and now in bed but can't sleep and got splitting headache. What a great Xmas Eve, going to feel like hell in morning

Sleepysundown · 25/12/2019 04:02

Because I and ex DH decided to build the ridiculous dolls house we bought 7yo DD and he still hasn’t wrapped his gifts Shock

Gertie75 · 25/12/2019 04:02

I'm feeling sick with excitement, dd's are 4 & 6 and I can't wait for them to wake up.
I've just filled their stockings on the bed and hoped the squeaky floorboards would rouse them but they're sleeping happily.

nearlythere12 · 25/12/2019 04:03

Went to bed just after 12, DH snoring & DC2 now in the bed 🙄

Heg1984 · 25/12/2019 04:04

Currently breastfeeding my 7 week old. For the last week she has slept 7/8 hours straight so i have not had to do this feed. Today not only has she woken up but she doesn't show any signs of going back to sleep soon. Guess someone was excited it was Christmas!

pisspants · 25/12/2019 04:06

too much booze last night! with too much mixing of drinks - now feel still pissed, tired and with a weird feeling tummy. Sleeping at a relatives house also and bed not v comfy - hope I can get back to sleep else will be quiet and grumpy at Christmas!

MincedOath · 25/12/2019 04:06

Woken up by DH tossing and turning and rearranging and plumping his pillows an hour ago. He then went straight back to sleep. Going to listen to a sleep hypnosis thing on YouTube now and hopefully get a few more hours.

markingplace · 25/12/2019 04:06

Waiting for a very excited little man to go to sleep, he is so afraid Santa won't come if he's awake, so I've brought him into our bed so I can grab 49 weeks before the the excitement begins and we have 3 excited kids jumping all over us, I can't wait!!

yadayadayesokay · 25/12/2019 04:07

Pregnancy insomnia.

Missmonkeypenny · 25/12/2019 04:09

I think I might be in early labour but not 100% sure. I know I’m definitely too uncomfy to sleep right now in a way that’s different to the last 4 weeks of uncomfy and no sleep so I’m having a cup of tea and a bounce on my ball to see if anything emerges..

adagio · 25/12/2019 04:10

My 3yo has a cough, and can’t get back to sleep. I’m freezing, knackered, and also have whatever this bug is 😕

marblesgoing · 25/12/2019 04:10

Fell asleep at about 10pm.woke up at 1.30 am to dh doing stockings and neither of us have been bak to sleep yet.
Woke up with raging period pains so have had fizzy paracetamol and just going to try and get a cpl of hours in before all hell breaks loose here

WeDontTalkAboutLove · 25/12/2019 04:11

Feeding 9 week old DD by nothing but the lights on the Christmas tree. Very festive and atmospheric Xmas Smile.

Still would rather be asleep though! Grin

nearlythere12 · 25/12/2019 04:11

Ooh good luck @Missmonkeypenny

DC1 has also woken up but i've mentioned to persuade him to go back to bed.

crankysaurus · 25/12/2019 04:12

Insomnia, I often wake around now.

EnglishRain · 25/12/2019 04:12

I'm 10 weeks pregnant (it's my first) and I wake up starving in the night, so I am eating chocolate biscuits I'm the hope I can get back to sleep.

IShitGlitter · 25/12/2019 04:15

Am working and can not wait to finish and get home to the kids to open their presents

NinjaBiscuit · 25/12/2019 04:15

@Missmonkeypenny good luck!

I just couldn’t seem to drift off tonight so have spent the last two hours on Mumsnet... Good thing it’ll be a quiet day tomorrow Xmas Grin

NoWifeyWork2020 · 25/12/2019 04:16

Kids have woken up and opened their stockings Hmm

I told DH we should keep them downstairs.

Told them to go back to sleep...but can't myself.

I feel a bit queasy actually. I hope I'm not sick today Sad

CrackersDontMatter · 25/12/2019 04:17

We've just finished wrapping and putting out the presents. Not the latest finish we've ever had but much later than I'd hoped this year Xmas Confused

fligglepige · 25/12/2019 04:17

@Missmonkeypenny how exciting!!! Please do keep us updated Xmas Grin
