It is 4am. Why are you reading this?

I haven't been to bed. Fell asleep with the kids at bedtime for a few hours and now I'm not tired. I'll be wrecked tomorrow Xmas Confused

Merry Xmas:)

Paramedics turned up at 3am because housemate had convulsions, gave me a fright. They wanted to take me as well as I have balance problems with concussion!! Two for the price of one

Muffinbutton · 25/12/2019 05:10

I got woken up about half an hour ago by mouse sounds in the roof. Now I can't settle back down again 😩

CrowleysBentley · 25/12/2019 05:12

Shout drunken twats in the corridor, crashing about on the way whatever flat it is they were going to about 45 minutes ago. Now I can't get back to sleep. Bastards.

NotYourHun · 25/12/2019 05:12

Tried to put DS down, he woke up. Now stuck on cold (wooden!) office chair in my pants. Thoroughly uncomfortable.

NellNorth · 25/12/2019 05:15

I’m awake worrying because my eldest has so little for Christmas this year- four kids, and DH has had very little work this year due to Brexit slowdown. It looked so measly when I put it out. It’s the first time we’ve ever been hard up, and she understands, so asked for very little, but I should have gotten a surprise for her. So I can’t sleep.

OccasionalNachos · 25/12/2019 05:16

We have a houseful, so I woke about an hour ago by the noise of someone else using the bathroom & haven’t been back to sleep since. Am 35 weeks pregnant so not feeling particularly inclined to do much tomorrow and my sleep has been wrecked for weeks anyway so it won’t be too bad. Reading lots of threads to prepare me for future christmases with DC...

minipurr · 25/12/2019 05:27

Ds fell out of bed at 0417am this morning and now thinks it's time to go and see if Santa had been. However he has been directed towards the clock in his room and told not to come out again till it's at least 0630.

DH is flopping around like a fish out of water. He has heartburn but doesnt take the meds he has been prescribed for it so is probably going to be a tired, grumpy asshole today.

And now one of the cats thinks its high time she had a fuss and is on my lap purring away.

WildRosie · 25/12/2019 05:28

I would normally be back at work today so my body clock activated and woke me an hour ago ! Lovely and quiet everywhere.

mummyof2ds · 25/12/2019 05:31

I am up cos bloody dog needed a wee and now wide awake waiting for my 2dsons to wake up. Merry Christmas everyone

thunderthighsohwoe · 25/12/2019 05:31

13mo DD likes to wake at 5am and sing joyfully but not actually want anyone to go and collect her for about half an hour (during which I of course can’t fall back asleep) 😒

Instatwat · 25/12/2019 05:34

Late to the party but have been awake since 4am.

I’m 39 weeks pregnant and sleep is evading me!

OccasionalNachos · 25/12/2019 05:36

Solidarity @Instatwat Smile

SweetPeaPods · 25/12/2019 05:36

DS2 came into our bed around 4, I’ve been awake since. Which has allowed me to remember what we didn’t do last night like Santa’s footprints with the fake snow!

SweetPeaPods · 25/12/2019 05:38

@NellNorth please don’t worry. I’m sure she will be very happy with what she has got.

stuckinthemiddlewithtwats · 25/12/2019 05:39

Been awake a couple of hours as I ate too much - we had our Xmas yesterday as my DP is working today and tomorrow.
Feel ridiculously full and have heartburn due to pregnancy.
DP gets up in half an hour so giving up on sleep now.
Also worried as the baby moves so little (32wks) I've never been able to find a pattern. Can't even decide if she's moving less than usual or not.

thenightsky · 25/12/2019 05:41

Been awake since 4am. Slight headache from blocked sinuses. I can't get comfy enough to sleep. Gonna be shattered tomorrow when I'm meant to be cooking.

FlamingGoat · 25/12/2019 05:41

Been awake since 4am missing my Mum. Grief is shit.

Dayzs · 25/12/2019 05:43

TigerJoy Merry Xmas Tiger. I am sorry to hear your update as I remember you from your September thread. Will you make a def plan to leave him and go at it alone this year as he’s robbing you of your very limited fertile years and you don’t want to waste anymore time. Imagine by end of next year you could have a baby and not to have to deal with all these stuff with him. You said you are financially okay to do it by yourself so don’t waste your time. Here’s to hoping by next Xmas you will have your own babe in your arms. Flowers

happycamper11 · 25/12/2019 05:45

It's obviously 5.45 now... But I've been awake since 4.30. I often don't sleep well anyway but I've woken up with tonsils the size of golf balls (3rd time in less than 3 months 😩) so that's keeping me awake

TigerJoy · 25/12/2019 05:46

We've actually given it a really good go since Sept. Yep think going it alone might be the only sensible option at this point...

Timberoo · 25/12/2019 05:48

Restless leg syndrome. Kicking, grinding my teeth, rubbing my feet. Wah!!! Got up to try to stop grinding my teeth away entirely.

NoMoreSexyTime · 25/12/2019 05:48

I heard ds moving about, he came in to tell me he needed a wee, do obviously I then needed one. He's opened one stocking present (as instructed, no more until 7am) and gone back to bed. I'm knackered but can't sleep.

Westiegirl3 · 25/12/2019 05:48

I've been awake for the last hour, I'm working today we have 94 for lunch and I'm stressing that it all goes well and all the staff turn up for their shift...
Merry Christmas everyone

mandyc1985 · 25/12/2019 05:49
