It is 4am. Why are you reading this?

I haven't been to bed. Fell asleep with the kids at bedtime for a few hours and now I'm not tired. I'll be wrecked tomorrow Xmas Confused

11yr old woke me up because his tooth hurts. I had to go find painkillers and now I can't sleep. Only two more months until he gets it sorted Confused

Prevegen4U · 25/12/2019 04:40

Not everyone lives in the UK.

fligglepige · 25/12/2019 04:40

@sashh I'll have eggs Benedict please, and a cup of tea Xmas Smile

Christmas Day already here! My younger teen woke me at 6am and we are sitting downstairs having a coffee. DH and the older teen should emerge by 9/10. Lovely chilled day ahead, looking forward to it.

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 25/12/2019 04:41

DD wake around 4am

I managed to settle her back down along with pug goat but that’s me wide awake now

I’m on my second coffee

Merry Christmas!

UnitedRoad · 25/12/2019 04:42

Husbands snoring. I’ve put the fan on to try to drown him out but I’m too agitated. And cold!

I might as well get up, but I don’t know what to do. My books not grabbing me, I’m not watching a good series on tv, and I’m stuck on my level on my game. I normally spend time sewing, but everything’s been tidied up for today. I can’t just lie here. I’m bored.

Tea being poured into the keyboard and the eggs will fit if I remove the number pad, I also have champagne and orange juice today if you are interested?

TheLesserOfTwoWeevils · 25/12/2019 04:48

5 year old woke me up just before 4 to tell me he'd been sick in his bed. After a clean up and bedding change he's now gone back to bed cuddled up with DH but I can't sleep, just waiting for him to be sick again. He has a tendency to get pukey when he's overexcited or anxious so fingers crossed it's that rather than a bug!

ElluesPichulobu · 25/12/2019 04:49

I went to sleep around 23:45 while DH was still reading. woke up at 3am needing the loo and santa has been - there is a stocking full of presents at the foot of the bed and it is so exciting it is difficult to fall back to sleep.

(yes I delivered a stocking to DHs side of the bed while I was up. this in no way detracts from the magic that mine was delivered by Santa although 4 or 5 of the things in it were bought by me)

mynameisigglepiggle · 25/12/2019 04:49

My two year old woke about an hour ago so I'm now on the makeshift bed I have on his floor (usual nightly occurrence)
6 year old then woke feeling sick (please no!) and is now in bed with DH
9 year old then woke and got up to see what time it was 🤦🏼‍♀️
Oh and I can still hear DH snoring

WisestIsShe · 25/12/2019 04:52

Woke up for a wee bit now too excited to sleep. I love Christmas Xmas Smile] Honestly, I'm nearly 40. Is there any hope for me??

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 25/12/2019 04:55

Aww at those with tiny babies to feed. Mine are teens now so no doubt I’ll end up on my own for at least another 5 hours... tempted to open my present!

Chefwifelife · 25/12/2019 04:55

Merry Christmas OP and everyone else wide awake. I’ve been coughing my guts up all night as I’ve caught our toddlers virus. Also maybe a tad exciting about telling DH that we’re expecting our second! Can’t believe I kept the surprise since Friday! The thought making an ill Christmas Day not all bad Xmas Grin

Conniedescending · 25/12/2019 04:56

Just fed 7 week old baby - having to hold her upright for at least an hour as she has a Cough and we've already had several episodes of cough induced projectiles so trying to stave it off . Merry Christmas everyone

HemlockStarglimmer · 25/12/2019 04:59

Black coffee and a mince pie please sashh

I was woken by my husband getting up for a wee. I'm now listening to him not quite snoring and telling my self I don't really need a wee as my bed is so cosy.

Merry Christmas to you all. I hope the day brings love and laughter.

crankysaurus · 25/12/2019 05:01

Merry Christmas to you all.

captainswheel · 25/12/2019 05:02

Couldn't drop off and then 16m old ds woke at 2 so brought him downstairs where I think I managed to get an hours sleep!

FromTheAllotment · 25/12/2019 05:03

Ffs DD has just been up again ... I have to applaud her discipline though as she walked straight past her stocking without a murmur both times!

Congratulations to those who are pregnant and have tiny babies
Commiserations to those who are poorly
Good luck MissMonkeyPenny and anyone else in labour!

I’m sorely tempted to go and have a whiskey and see if it knocks me out again... Xmas Shock

VanityScare · 25/12/2019 05:04

I’m fretting about how much I hate my
House

NotYourHun · 25/12/2019 05:06

DS (toddler) woke up and it was much easier to breastfeed him than let him wake the whole house. He’s now passed out on me but I have no idea how to get him back to his bedroom (well PIL’s office room) without waking him up. Also I am just in my knickers and fear bumping into FIL 😂

popcorndiva · 25/12/2019 05:06

15 month DS has an awful cough so keeps waking himself up. DH was up with him till 4am now it's my turn. DH wanted to do the whole night as I am cooking dinner but I will be less annoyed this way as he is very grumpy without sleep

Erismorn · 25/12/2019 05:07

8 week old DD2 likes to sit up to poop. She grunted herself awake about half an hour ago, so I sat her up and she exploded with poo. Then she wanted filling up the other end. She's now snoozing on my chest till I pop her back down. DH just got up to get a drink (in separate rooms due to his shifts) and I thought at first it might be DD1 ignoring our "no getting up before 07:30" rule 😂

TigerJoy · 25/12/2019 05:08

Ate too much yesterday 3 course lunch at Pizza Express with alcohol, then 4 course dinner with DH at home with a bottle of champagne. Feeling a bit rotten - tummy playing up, got a headache. Heard the dogs downstairs making a fuss and turns out our totally crap burglar alarm has a fault and is beeping which was driving them nuts. Got them both in the bedroom with me now and hoping it'll settle me!

Not looking forward to tomorrow at all - was feeling crappy yesterday but had too much to do and couldn't rest.

Trying unsuccessfully for a baby and arguing a lot with DH. Wondering whether I should leave him. He's very lukewarm about having kids. We saw someone about ivf and he's said I'd have to pay. He's also said bonkers stuff about money - how I'd have to pay for everything for the baby, his lifestyle can't get worse in any way. How if he decides he doesn't like parenthood he'll leave. I've been trying to tell myself this is just massive anxiety (he is an anxious person) but it understandably upsets me and makes me feel vulnerable. I'm mid cycle and he's avoiding sex with me. He's about to start working nights tomorrow so no chance this month I guess (hence the champagne - I've barely been drinking this year).

Tomorrow is complicated family day with lots of travel. I'd just like to cancel and stay in bed I think! Might not drink either, feel bloody dreadful...
