Surprised me.
I expected a hung parliament

Ffsnosexallowed · 12/12/2019 22:21

So sad. I honestly don't understand how anyone can vote tory. No choice now but another referendum in Scotland.

Iggleonkupsy · 12/12/2019 22:22

Who are these people voting conservatives?! All the 'oh Jeremy would be terrible, hopefully he will now resign so that labour can win in 5 years' 5 years? We may not have an NHS in 5 years..for fuck sakes open your eyes people. Once again the rich looking after the rich.

Being rich and buying food for the food bank to make yourself feel better is NOT helping poor people. Voting for a party who would end poverty in the first place would be better.
This country is a shambles. I'm so so scared for the future.

CactusAndCacti · 12/12/2019 22:22

I think Labour may have lost the seat in my area, the only saving grace is that it may be an indy, Tory would have to make too much of a gain.

Welcome to Britain 2019 Sad

Youreterriblemuriel99 · 12/12/2019 22:22

I think lots of life long Labour supporters who felt strongly in support of brexit switched in order to get it done.

TheVeryHungryTortoise · 12/12/2019 22:23

It's awful news. I have never been a Corbynite but as a trainee in the NHS I feel that I have an obligation to vote Labour. I'm just so disappointed.

selmabear · 12/12/2019 22:24

Devastated. Absolutely devastated

Sprinklemetinsel · 12/12/2019 22:24

Does anyone listen to the people who are voting Tory?

It's not that they don't give a shit about anyone else (well, only some of them).

Listen! Stop browbeating and bullying people who don't agree with you.

And I didn't (and never have) vote Tory.

Celeriacacaca · 12/12/2019 22:25

Youreterrible. I think you've hit the nail on the head.

LittleSweet · 12/12/2019 22:26

I'm so disgusted we're seriously planning to emigrate.

Oohaye · 12/12/2019 22:26

Guess what? All the violence, name calling and intimidating didn’t work.
Labour voters kept telling people who didn’t agree with them to ‘fuck off and join the Torys then’
Well, they did and look what’s happened.
Look at yourselves. It’s not us that are the bad guys.

Vinorosso74 · 12/12/2019 22:27

I'm now feeling anger Angry

InglouriousBasterd · 12/12/2019 22:27

Fuck the government
And fuck Boris

dappledsunshine · 12/12/2019 22:27

I can't understand it. How can people not see what is happening in our country? To the public services, the nhs, police, the brutal cutbacks. The people living in poverty, food banks.

How can people not see this?!!!

Akire · 12/12/2019 22:28

I don’t get it either, if you are average person on half decent wage Brexit (if it happens or not) isn’t going have any impact on your life really.

If like me you can’t work then Labours promise to end poverty, food bank use, stopping the further roll out of UC and more important free social care would have had an instant and long lasting and transformative impact on my day to day to life. But no let’s vote for Brexit... there are no words.

Mishappening · 12/12/2019 22:28

If it is correct, it is very sad to think that so many people can vote in a liar and a cheat as PM.

I think it is a Brexit vote - people just wanted out an any cost, even the loss of our integrity.

And the cost will be to the NHS, to care and nursing services, to people at the bottom of the pile who need to rely on benefits, to child care services - in fact to all those things that constitute a civilised society.

GrouchoMrx · 12/12/2019 22:28

Bye Bye NHS.

BooFuckingHoo2 · 12/12/2019 22:28

The left, instead of giving rational arguments, prefer to alienate and demonise anyone who disagrees with the Corbyn ideology.

That is one of the reasons why labour have lost seats in this election.

Andahelterskelterroundmylittle · 12/12/2019 22:28

I am at a loss as for words.I have never struggled more to understand a Tory vote in my time . I voted tactically SNP and I thank god they will be an even stronger representation in Westminster. May be the nail in the coffin for the Union .

thehorseandhisboy · 12/12/2019 22:28

I feel very, very sad.

I think 'getting Brexit done' might not living the dream that people hoped it to be....

Kuponut · 12/12/2019 22:29

Was expecting it to be grim.

Has Boris come out of the fridge yet?

Vinorosso74 · 12/12/2019 22:29

Funny but the people I know on social media who were voting Labour or LD didn't make a big deal of it. Thise voting Tory were sharing posts from the Tories page and stuff slagging off Labour and the LDs.

PerveenMistry · 12/12/2019 22:29

As one living in perpetual horror under Donald Trump on the far side of the pond (and starting to fear that my ignorant fellow citizens are going to give us four more years of him) you all have my utmost sympathy.

What is going wrong in the world that these unfit oafs are being elected?

HollowTalk · 12/12/2019 22:30

It won't matter whether JC comes or goes if those results are right. The Tories will be in for five years and the country will be decimated.

Youreterriblemuriel99 · 12/12/2019 22:30

It’s be interesting to see the % of Leave votes in the constituencies that swung from red to blue. I think there’ll be a relationship between the two.
