I know there are plenty of threads on voting intentions but it makes me wonder how many of those people actually end up voting. So to those who have and don’t mind sharing ..who did you vote for and why?

I haven’t actually voted yet but I will be doing so this evening after work.

DH just confirmed he hand delivered my postal vote successfully (vote was for labour)

B0bbin · 12/12/2019 16:15

Labour

Sleepyblueocean · 12/12/2019 16:15

Labour. The seat has been Labour for a while but had a large leave vote so result will be interesting. There is a brexit candidate which may split the vote 3 ways. Lib Dems will have no chance.

Aycharow · 12/12/2019 16:28

This election is about Brexit
No, it isn't - not any more. I've given up caring about bloody Brexit. There are other long-term issues far more important to me than that.

QuestionableMushroom · 12/12/2019 16:29

Labour. Strong labour seat here.

ThisIsSanta · 12/12/2019 16:31

Lib Dem. a tactical vote in a marginal seat. It is Lib Dem now, but was Con time before and Lib Dem time before that. It all felt quite futile and I actually cried when I left the polling station.

TheReluctantCountess · 12/12/2019 16:33

@Helmlover1 who will you be voting for?

NationMcKinley · 12/12/2019 16:33

Labour. 🌹

Hopeforthemany · 12/12/2019 16:34

Think my name gives it away 🤣

flojo73 · 12/12/2019 16:39

Lib dem. Previous Cons majority, but by a small margin only. Not much Labour support in my constituency, so am really hoping the useless Tory MP will loose his seat.

wellthatwasthat · 12/12/2019 16:40

Monster Raving Loony.

Crystal87 · 12/12/2019 16:40

Labour

Ohfrigginghellers · 12/12/2019 16:42

@Hopeforthemany 🖐👍

Pumperthepumper · 12/12/2019 16:43

Tactically, SNP for the first time in my life. I’m not happy about it but I’m honestly sick to my stomach about what the Tories have done to the UK. It’s fucking shameful and immoral.

fluffysocksgoodbookwine · 12/12/2019 16:43

DH and I both voted Labour (postal votes).
I'm generally a Lib Dem and DH is Green, neither of us are keen on Corbyn, but I really like our moderate, feminist, intelligent Labour MP, and I'm worried her vote might get split by the Brexit party, who are doing a lot of campaigning here, and we could end up with a Conservative (they consistently come second here, although some way behind). So, tactical voting.

Illeana · 12/12/2019 16:43

It‘s a tricky one. I don’t want to vote Labour because I don’t like Corbyn and I don’t like his policies. But at least the Labour guy is local and cares about us. The Conservative candidate is some bloke who lives in London. Fat lot of good he will be in terms of dealing with local issues!

billysboy · 12/12/2019 16:45

Voted Tory as cannot stand the thought of IRA sympathisers being PM and in his cabinet as well as Labours money give away

ifonly4 · 12/12/2019 16:50

wellthatwasthat - is that for the Cheltenham seat. I'll be following as I'm interested to see how many votes they get this year as I suspect it's going to be a close marginal.

Hopeforthemany · 12/12/2019 16:51

@Ohfrigginghellers Smile 👋

Mamabear88 · 12/12/2019 16:52

Me and DH both voted Lib dem

I'm amazed at the number of women (presumably) who are happily voting for parties who claim not to know what a woman is. If you were on the ballot spoiling thread but you changed you mind could you make yourself known?

ThunderR0ad78 · 12/12/2019 16:57

Labour - sadly a safe Tory seat area though I expect Sad

yellowallpaper · 12/12/2019 17:04

I voted for a person.

wellthatwasthat · 12/12/2019 17:06

@ifonly4 No, not Cheltenham, it's Mid Bedfordshire and about as safe a seat as you can get.
