I know there are plenty of threads on voting intentions but it makes me wonder how many of those people actually end up voting. So to those who have and don’t mind sharing ..who did you vote for and why?

I haven’t actually voted yet but I will be doing so this evening after work.

Labour

maddy68 · 12/12/2019 14:37

Will be voting labour tonight

SilverySurfer · 12/12/2019 14:41

Do any of the major parties support voting reform

There was a referendum on voting reform about eight years ago which was won by a good majority for no change. I don't see there being another referendum any time soon.

Lolimax · 12/12/2019 14:47

Labour. South Wales Valleys so it's an historically safe seat for them.
Was fairly busy 2 in front of me, 3 behind me.
NHS worker and student nurse.

ihateryansworld · 12/12/2019 14:53

Alliance! I live in a "safe" DUP seat but I'd say they will get a shock here this election. They have pissed off many of their faithful. I'm happy as this is as close as we have come to a United ireland so far. Thanks Arlene you donkey!

bellinisurge · 12/12/2019 14:56

The referendum was long before Brexit when we all assumed our system was robust enough to deliver a majority government every time. A lot has changed.

ThierryEnnui · 12/12/2019 14:57

Labour. I had a proxy vote (my mum) as I live abroad.

RoseHippy1 · 12/12/2019 14:57

Labour all the way. In a very safe seat - Northern working class city. Don’t actually know anyone who votes Tory (unless they’re v quiet about it)!

JasonPollack · 12/12/2019 15:06

Labour. We're in a Labour target seat and the polling station was excitingly full of young people.

IndecentFeminist · 12/12/2019 15:08

Labour

RoseHippy1 · 12/12/2019 15:08

@jasonpollack awesome- good luck 🌹

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 12/12/2019 15:15

I was all ready to vote green then I saw in their manifesto they want to add X as an option for someone's sex on their passport.

The fuck? I can't vote for that nonsense.

Doobydoo · 12/12/2019 15:16

Will be voting Labour in a bit as are dp and ds1(his first time voting!)

BarbedBloom · 12/12/2019 15:21

Labour.

ifonly4 · 12/12/2019 15:38

1 Conservative and 2 Green votes from this household.

Just been going through the votes placed on this post. If they represented the whole country, then we'd be in for a shock result!

DuckWillow · 12/12/2019 15:42

Labour tactically to reduce the Conservative majority.

Happy with my local Tory MP so no issue for me when he is re-elected. I do think he needs a reduced majority though. Enough to worry Tory HQ

ericaanne · 12/12/2019 15:47

tory

LoveSatsumas · 12/12/2019 15:54

Conservative. I have friends who voted Labour, we have never fallen out about our different political views.
I get so fed up with people being nasty, just because some-one votes differently.

Anotheruser02 · 12/12/2019 15:55

Labour.

Zofloramummy · 12/12/2019 15:56

I voted Green, we are a pivotal seat, always been labour but within a few points of turning Tory. Can’t vote for either of them so I went with the environment.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 12/12/2019 15:57

Labour ❤️🌹

PepePig · 12/12/2019 16:05

A UUP candidate. Usually not a UUP fan but he is very liberal (pro gay marriage, abortion rights, etc). I worked for him a few years ago and saw first hand how decent and hard working he was.

He won against the DUP a few years ago, but sadly lost narrowly out the last time. I hope he can bring it back this time. Great guy and anything to get the DUP dinosaurs out. Grin

Puzzledandpissedoff · 12/12/2019 16:06

Held my nose and voted Conservative (marginal, Tory held seat here)

Slightly busier than usual at 1.30pm, but not massively so - two in, two out sort of thing

MamaGothel · 12/12/2019 16:10

I voted Labour but I'm in a safe Tory seat
