I hope it’s not true with everything that’s going on with Prince Andrew. Anyone else heard this?

I hope it's not true, I haven't heard anything. Watching the crown at the moment on her fathers death episode Sad

Outsomnia · 01/12/2019 21:30

She is not going anywhere anytime soon. I won't let her!

Charlie on the Throne, ye gods!

Yes I heard this about an hour and a half ago, from a friend whose friend is high up in the army. We also heard it won't be made official until 9.30am tomorrow morning.

There's stuff on Twitter but no source. I'll believe it when it's announced by BP and not before.

LaurieSchafferIsAllBitterNow · 01/12/2019 21:30

i'd be surprised if Queenie steps down anytime soon, she is going for the longest ever reigning sovereign imo and only death will wrestle that record from her!

four maybe five years before she beats some renaissance frenchie IIRC

Doubleraspberry · 01/12/2019 21:31

DH has a job which would mean he’d be told this ASAP if it were known even privately. He’s heard nothing.

Redcrayons · 01/12/2019 21:31

Twitter doesn’t seem to think so.

TristmasChree · 01/12/2019 21:32

Only on Facebook.

Guessing and hoping it's not true.

donquixotedelamancha · 01/12/2019 21:32

I've just WhatsApped her. She says she's just finished watching His Dark Materials and eating a bacon butty.

QueenWhatevs · 01/12/2019 21:34

I reckon she'll fake her own death to get out of dinner with Trump this week.

Tvstar · 01/12/2019 21:34

If it were true, what would be the point in a delay in announcing it?

Outsomnia · 01/12/2019 21:34

It is all rubbish to deflect from Terrorism on our streets.

An election deflection if you will.

GlitchStitch · 01/12/2019 21:34

No but I did read online that Prince Philip's death is imminent. There are always lots of rumours about though.

Michaelbaubles · 01/12/2019 21:34

Yay, the DHs with inside knowledge are being cited!

Concestor · 01/12/2019 21:34

No. And I can't find anything online even suggesting it.

Celebelly · 01/12/2019 21:34

from a friend whose friend is high up in the army

If this is true then he's probably breached the Official Secrets Act and been a very silly boy. I used to work in a field where we had information pertaining to the Royals, and if anything like that would ever have got leaked, whoever did it would have been in a world of shit. Senior army officials should not be chatting to their pals about stuff like this.

From a friend whose friend is high up in the army

Ah the old reliable 'friend of a friend' line, must be true!

Faircastle · 01/12/2019 21:39

The rumours seem to centre around members of the armed forces having received text/whatsapp messages about it having happened this morning and preparing for an announcement tomorrow morning.

Why would there be a delay of 24h between the event itself and the announcement? I can think of no reason for this.
Are they usually given their orders via text/WhatsApp? Seems a bit arbitrary.

WingBingo · 01/12/2019 21:39

It is all over Twitter.

SeperatedSwans · 01/12/2019 21:40

I think it may be prince Phillip and wires have got crossed if anything.

Or more than likely neither have passed away.

rhubarbcrumbles · 01/12/2019 21:40

I have seen a sad (understatement) report that another child has died at the Queen Elizabeth hospital but nothing about the Queen. Maybe that is what somebody saw and misunderstood.

AutumnRose1 · 01/12/2019 21:40

“ I reckon she'll fake her own death to get out of dinner with Trump this week.”

Oh I didn’t know this. I thought my week was looking shite!
