In labour and struggling!

I've been in labour (via induction) for around 5 hours now, still early and waters haven't gone yet but good god I'm in so much pain already!! Contractions 3/4 every 10 minutes but not as long as they should be. Haven't been checked in hours.

I've had this lovely idea of hypnobirthing, totally calm and serene, no drugs... I'm only just holding off buzzing for meds. Trying my best to hold off a bit longer as I know it gets worse once they've broken the waters.

Any night owls or early risers around for moral support?

What a beautiful baby! ❤️

CFlemingSmith · 24/11/2019 16:35

Just remember, you do not have to follow your birth plan!
I planned a hypno birthing water birth, but ended with an epidural and emergency section.
Take each minute and each contraction as they come, but please do ask for pain relief if you need it. It is of no benefit to any for you to needlessly be in pain if you don't want to be x

Adorable. Love his little cheeks. 🍑

codenameduchess · 24/11/2019 19:29

Thanks everyone! He is adorable (I'm a little biased though 😂)

Totally settled in at home, there's no sign of the poorly scbu baby at all looking at him.

codenameduchess · 29/11/2019 22:29

We're getting there thanks @Ifeelinclined , he's doing really well and almost back to birth weight! We had the midwife round for his 10 day check and she was really impressed with his progress.
