In labour and struggling!

I've been in labour (via induction) for around 5 hours now, still early and waters haven't gone yet but good god I'm in so much pain already!! Contractions 3/4 every 10 minutes but not as long as they should be. Haven't been checked in hours.

I've had this lovely idea of hypnobirthing, totally calm and serene, no drugs... I'm only just holding off buzzing for meds. Trying my best to hold off a bit longer as I know it gets worse once they've broken the waters.

Any night owls or early risers around for moral support?

So close!!! Hope alls ok with you OP; not long to go at all now. Took me 46 hours to get to 9 cm after my induction ; 4 epidurals and a pair of forceps later my baby was here!!

dottiedodah · 18/11/2019 16:04

Keep going not long now! Defo best to opt for epidural . I remember saying "give me everything youve got" to the midwives when they asked if I would like any thing for the pain!

smartcarnotsosmartdriver · 18/11/2019 16:04

Finally here! Got through a near 19 hour labour and ended with EMCS. BUT we have a gorgeous chunky baby boy 😍

I'm being treated for an infection and baby is in scbu with breathing trouble. I can't go with him so dh has stayed. It's been a rollercoaster of a day!
