When will the Trick or Treaters start coming?

We're ready, its dark enough to need the light on in the living room - come on people! I'm sure they started coming earlier than this last year, although it wasn't half term last year.

None so far but know there's a group coming around 6. Had loads last year and we ran out of sweets so really hoping it picks up as I've bought tons this year.

I think we were almost out of sweets by this time last year. I had planned to do hot chocolate and sparklers in the back garden at about 6.30 with the DC, on the assumption we'd be all out of sweets.

None yet even though there's loads of kids in my road. It's raining here though so maybe that's put them off....wouldn't have stopped me as a kid mind you!

Just had our first ones, three littlies. Plenty seem to be walking the street but despite our green ghost light, not many coming here.

I took 3 year old DS out at 4:30- we only knocked on 4/5 houses that we know. We were the only ones out at that time.

About half an hour or so ago, the really small ones and parents, but they only go to friends and family.

No-one comes here, I don't know why, maybe the pumpkin?

We’ve only had 1 so far, but I’ve just moved the pumpkin away from the door, so hopefully it’s more visible now.

Well this is weird.....we live in an area that usually inundated with trick or treaters. Seriously the pavements get like Glastonbury! I have had one group knock on my door so far....very bizarre

It is an absolutely horrible drizzly night out there - I’ve waved my DC off out with DH but we have had just 2 kids here so far ... single individuals. Last year we had LOADS of groups from 5pm onwards.

Spookily quiet...

We have had two knocks so far and haven’t even put a pumpkin/decorations out! I thought people only knocked at houses with pumpkins 😂

Normally it's rammed with kids. The private schools are on half-term so maybe that is it.

Awwww I feel so sad we live in an area with no families with young kids really so I don’t even think people would think to come in here plus it means I can’t really take my two out.

I’ve got a green lamp in the window in the hope it encourages people.

I've got a very excited 4 year old, dressed up, waiting with a bucket of sweets to give out, and we haven't had a single one yet. I've tried explaining to her that we probably won't get many, if any, as it doesn't seem to be a big thing around here, but she's still sitting there hopeful 😭

I've just had my pre-arranged group.... And that's me done for the night!

It does seem quiet out there. They're dead good locally at only knocking on decorated houses but normally I can hear them. Only saw a couple of groups on the way home.

We had some on Saturday night and husband told them to Fuck off! I think they are now all avoiding us! 😦
