When will the Trick or Treaters start coming?

We're ready, its dark enough to need the light on in the living room - come on people! I'm sure they started coming earlier than this last year, although it wasn't half term last year.

I have the sweets ready. Nobody as yet. DD is being taken out by a friend's mum (thank you!). I'll happily eat the leftover chocolate buttons but I can't eat the Haribo.

Picking up a bit now had some chancer teenagers as well. Wouldn't mind teens but none had bags/buckets, and one hadn't even bothered with the most perfunctory costume or a mask

Almost 1 hour after the first knock and we have just got to 10. Its never been this slow before I'm beginning to wonder if all the children here have gone away for half term.

None here yet, we normally get 60-80, but DD is getting older, so fewer young families know us. Mind you it is lighter 'down south'.

re Away for half term. maybe they are going to be out later as they don't need to be in bed in time for school next day?

We had 3 very polite boys as I got home at 5

DS (3) will go out at 6 when his Dad gets home

I haven't had any yet. I've got a big bowl of sweets though. DP and I are going out and leaving DS1 to deal with whoever knocks. DS2 is out with his dad.

Just had our first one too. I think most come out after their tea and before the local kids clubs / family pubs start their parties.

None here and normally we have loads. My pumpkins are out. Sweets and glow sticks ready. I feel strangely let down.

It seems that 5.30 is the official starting time for many people then.

I've got a slightly ambiguous, makeshift minecraft 'pumpkin' on display. That might confuse people.

I was wondering where everyone was and then everybody came at once in big groups! I've gone from worrying I had too many sweets to worrying I don't have enough.

They usually start at about 4.30pm but not a single one so far this year.

I can't even see any outside in the street either. We're going out soon (not trick or treating) so they'd better be quick or those sweets will be all mine.
