I'm going to start with High Street Kensington. A classic start, if I do say so myself.

OP posts:
MyNightWithMaud · 12/10/2019 21:47

Hmm. Tricky. I don't have much room for manoeuvre here, but think this should do it

Berlin Hauptbahnhof

EmpressLesbianInChair · 12/10/2019 22:08

Bruxelles Midi.

DadDadDad · 12/10/2019 22:29

Rod El Farag

Remember the 2003 Convention of Mornington Crescent Invigilators agreed that stations on Cairo's Line 2 were playable following an under-shunt.

AgathaMystery · 13/10/2019 00:48

It's almost time for us all to hop aboard the Brexit Express so I'm taking a punt on Amsterdam Centraal.

sashh · 13/10/2019 02:30

We;; I'm just going to have to take us out of Europe, and the dangers of Mornington Croissant.

大手町駅 , in the romanji Otemachi of course

LonginesPrime · 13/10/2019 19:04

I feel like I missed out on the development of the Minato City Rules almost entirely, so I'm going to play it safe and go with Yushima.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 13/10/2019 19:22

Minato? Right. OK And we've just gone from Amsterdam to Otemachi to Yushima, and somebody mentioned Brexit, and it's Monday in Japan now so that's backwards.... so yes, this ought to work....

MORNINGTON CRESCENT.

ForalltheSaints · 13/10/2019 19:27

Play or a move in a country or territory with a severe weather warning in force is prohibited under the 1976 Convention, addendum 12a. So we are back in Amsterdam Centraal it seems, the last three moves being invalid.

A move to Leiden Centraal is therefore the logical next step as the first move back towards the UK.

Cartright · 13/10/2019 19:43

Hmm. I was going to go for Bruxelles-Midi, but I'm not sure if it can be played twice in one weekend. There was some controversy about that, I seem to remember. Anyway, I shall play it safe for now with Rotterdam Centraal.

DadDadDad · 13/10/2019 19:47

And I think I can get us back into the UK via the Newcastle Metro. In at the coast, with

Whitley Bay, pet

LonginesPrime · 13/10/2019 19:51

Oh no, Empress, so close!

Saints, I see you're going with the Brownsbury interpretation of addendum 12a - I've always felt that was a very loose way to view the Severe Weather Prohibition as the situation of the metro in question physically falls in an advisory weather zone rather than a warning. But I accept that some favour your approach on this.

Assuming we're going with Brownsbury (and that the subsequent moves are therefore valid) then I'll take us to Berwick-upon-Tweed.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 13/10/2019 19:53

Oh. And I thought I'd won then, too. Sad

OK. From Whitley Bay to Salford Quays.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 13/10/2019 19:54

Sorry Longines, cross-post. Make that Liverpool Lime Street.

sashh · 14/10/2019 05:48

Manchester Oxford Rd

DadDadDad · 14/10/2019 08:34

I'll come close to home for me, and jump to Cambridge with Addenbrooke's

Is that a hospital pass? Grin

(I know you guys don't need me to spell it out, but the wartime contingencies for Oxbridge-related alternatives were never revoked, as confirmed by the Norwich Protocol in 1965)

ForalltheSaints · 14/10/2019 09:27

I play the renaming rule and move as it were to Cambridge North

MyNightWithMaud · 14/10/2019 14:07

Excellent. Just what I need for a longitudinal splice to

Edinburgh Waverley

sashh · 15/10/2019 03:13

Maud!

I was about to bring us back on to dear Harry Beck's original design with Highgate, still I'll give it a go with Epping

AgathaMystery · 15/10/2019 12:02

Erm, not that this is a game for pedants but if we've been to Cambridge North we need perform a dynamic risk assessment due to the proximity of the NHS Burger King at Addenbrooke's .

Therefore I propose I trip to Thedon Bois.

DadDadDad · 15/10/2019 16:25

Well, yes clearly a pedant would know the correct spelling of Theydon. Smile

As the Smith-Lopez condition is now biting, I can't do any better than creep one stop to Debden.

ForalltheSaints · 15/10/2019 18:10

A risk assessment is only required under the 2007 rules which were quickly abandoned as being just not in the spirit of MC.

Likewise I can only make a short journey and stop at Woodford.

AgathaMystery · 15/10/2019 19:18

Dad Blushthe shame.

ForalltheSaints · 16/10/2019 20:16

A second move is allowed after 24 hours if no other move is made.

South Woodford

MyNightWithMaud · 16/10/2019 22:30

You know it makes sense

East Croydon

Cartright · 16/10/2019 23:19

Oh, very well, West Croydon
