I'm going to start with High Street Kensington. A classic start, if I do say so myself.

OP posts:

I didn't realise we were using the Hinkridge Extension, Phonic!

In that case, Kew Bridge.

Grimbles · 10/10/2019 18:34

Aha!!!! I have bided my time but now my patience has been rewarded. I can now invoke Purlandeans fanfare and declare:

Roding Valley

My work here is done...

PhonicTheHedgehog · 10/10/2019 18:37

Oh no, I wanted to simplify the game and have only succeeded in complicating it. I’ve I’d seen Grimbles lurking behind the cocktail cabinet I would have played differently.

Spidey66

Not make sense, Spidey dear, we have mostly been clear with our reasoning and stating of rules (D^3 has been a little unclear but has certainly upped his game).

Having taken advice from the cat, and because it sounds slightly rude Cockfosters

EmpressLesbianInChair · 11/10/2019 08:06

I’m going to try a daring Full Line Slam because I think the game can take it. Heathrow Terminal 5.

ForalltheSaints · 11/10/2019 08:21

I am going to play the TfL Rail rule for the first time ever and go to Hanwell.

PhonicTheHedgehog · 11/10/2019 08:49

That’s amazing Saints

which I know isn’t very Game of Games, but it’s Friday!

Warren Street for the wabbits.

LonginesPrime · 11/10/2019 08:50

Nice!

I'm going for a triple sweep on First Great Western with West Ealing, using the Chapel Brampton Exception to include the earlier played Southall (I refer you to the Greenford line in case anyone is in doubt!).

MyNightWithMaud · 11/10/2019 08:56

Coo! Things are really hotting up. There’s been some very daring play this morning. Of my limited options here, I think the best is going to be

Shoreditch High Street

LonginesPrime · 11/10/2019 08:57

Dammit Phonic - that'll teach me to second-guess myself and spend time looking up the rules!

In that case, I'll grudgingly go for Oval.

LonginesPrime · 11/10/2019 08:58

OMG, Maud, I'll just get my coat, shall I?

LonginesPrime · 11/10/2019 09:00

Canonbury

LonginesPrime · 11/10/2019 09:00
  • times, FFS
DerektheWonderdog · 11/10/2019 09:13

Ooh, can I squeeze in before 9.30 under the Didsbury rule? Or was that banned because of foul play? If it's still allowed I will play Green Park because other than Turnham Green they're the only ones allowed under the Didsbury Rule.

DadDadDad · 11/10/2019 13:10

I feel like I'm being held to some higher standard than everyone else on this thread! OK, sassh, if you want me to be clear, I believe that the Appendix 3 para D clause (iii) was grandfathered over into the regularisation supplement to the 2015 edition of the rules, so as we are technically operating in a cross-river interstitial phase following Longines's play of Kew Bridge, I think I can safely play this before sunset:

Woolwich Ferry

(and yes, for those thinking where to go next, the Isle of Wight ferry is running).

coffeeagogo · 11/10/2019 13:13

@DadDadDad I think you will find it is Appendix 3 para D clause (iii) revision 7b, nonetheless I believe in demonstrating cunning and daring and will do a reverse traverse to West Ruislip

PhonicTheHedgehog · 11/10/2019 13:50

Bleach your eyes and

Covent Garden

MyNightWithMaud · 11/10/2019 14:02

Heavens to Betsy! It’s not even dusk yet.

Blackhorse Road

DadDadDad · 11/10/2019 23:34

@coffeeagogo - I think my choice of move shows I am well aware of revision 7b, but for the doubters I've pulled out my well-thumbed copy of the supplement.

Oh... and South Wimbledon

Colliers Woodit's just too early and too dark for anything more exciting and the catis of no help this morning, apparently food and cleaning are her priorities.

WalkingInTheAir13 · 12/10/2019 04:52

That's an unusual tactic.
It leaves me little choice but to up my game with Kensal Rise.

MyNightWithMaud · 12/10/2019 11:15

Coo!

Grange Hill

EmpressLesbianInChair · 12/10/2019 12:38

Oh.

Oh dear. That’s three Grange Hill stops now, which automatically invokes the Sausage Fork and sends all players to East or West Ham, depending on their current score.

DadDadDad · 12/10/2019 12:46

Aagh! That sends me to East Ham, which puts me in Nidd, so fingers-crossed someone releases me with the next move. (Hopefully, not Latimer Road or I'm going to end up in super-Nidd Shock ).

Cartright · 12/10/2019 13:15

We reversed one of the Grange Hill moves, though, I believe? Which means none of us is in any cardinal direction of Ham and I am free to play Latimer Road without risking sending Dad3 toNidd2
