Shiny new thread, continuing from here

A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

@ringletsandtwiglets my cat loves scrambled egg, I always do him a little dish when we have it!

B- mince pie porridge made with almond milk
S- plum and 2 mini gingerbread men
L- itsu katsu instant noodles
S- popchips, another plum
D- 1/2 BBQ chicken and bacon pizza (iceland), big salad
S- will be 2 crumpets with pb and banana, some lebkuchen

L - buffet bits and pieces, some Christmas chocolates
D - smoked mackerel pâté on toast with various salads and a boiled egg; grapes
Bit more chocolate

B: porridge with marmalade
L: baked potato with broccoli and cauliflower cheese
D: partner is out at his Christmas do and kids are asleep so I had a night off from cooking. I had camembert with herbs and garlic made in my cheese baker, with fresh bread, some crackers and chutney. Yum
Will have a square or two of chocolate later

B - didn't eat breakfast so ended up eating some Christmas biscuits that I baked with the children around 10am

L - spicy chicken and lettuce wrap with bean salad

D - homemade chicken satay noodles

S - mince pie and advent chocolate

L - four crackers with egg mayo, an oat cookie
Small packet crisps
D - leek, potato and smoked haddock soup with shredded savoy cabbage, slice of bread; vanilla eclair, mince pie, three Lindor chocolates

L: mixed pepper + tomato omelette. Pistachios, small piece of lemon cake.
S: yoghurt with raspberries. An apple.
D: homemade cheese pizza whilst putting the Christmas tree up Xmas Grin

No post yesterday, it was a party night for me and my calories came mostly from pigs in blankets and gin.

Bacon sandwich in a cafe this morning after walking the dog.
Party food this afternoon - onion rings, too many chocolate fingers, one slice pizza, cheese and ritz crackers, birthday cake, onion bhaji, 2 after eight mints, a mini spring roll.
I think I need to eat at least some fruit and veg today Blush

D- chicken dippers, oven chips, veg
S- four finger kitkat, banana

I hate how long hangovers last once you are over 30.

B - water and green tea
D - 2 cauldron sausages, mini Yorkshire, marmite sprouts, maple and mustard parsnips and veg gravy
Will have some apple slices dipped in alpro yoghurt later if I get hungry :)

I was up Out of Hours at 1am with my 6 month old as she had a high temperature, didn't get to sleep until 3 and back up at 7am so needed lots of coffee and sugar today (don't normally drink coffee!)

B:pain au raisin, coffee, orange juice
S: tea and a short bread biscuit
L: an open faced cheese and piccalilli sandwich-type thing. A clementine, pistachios, and lemon cake
D: roast chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, carrots, parsnips, broccoli, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, peas and gravy.
Just having a hot chocolate now.

D: jacket potato with cheese and beans, mixed salad
2 slices wholemeal toast with marmite

@Nuttyaboutnutella hope your little one is feeling better. I feel your pain I also have a 6 month old that's not been well, our whole house has been hit when the lurgy this week.

Yesterday:

B - nothing, felt really queasy

L - a slice of toast with marmite

D - some oven chips with beans and cheese. I felt really grotty and just wanted plain food.

Today:

B - half a slice of toast with marmite...toddler DC1 stole the other half

L - chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato, chips

D - sausages, roast potatoes and braised red cabbage

S - some ice cream, advent chocolate

Too much today!

B: a cinnamon roll and a pain au raisin, OJ and coffee
L: olive bread, salami, salted crisps, an orange and a nakd bar
D: spanakopita with green salad, tomatoes and red peppers, chunk of bread. Sticky toffee pudding.
S: a glass of white wine, cups of tea and water

Way more carbs and sugar than normal. Got to get back to healthier food tomorrow.

D - tofu scramble, brown pilau rice, rocket, rhubarb chutney; a pear

Breakfast: Bowl of porridge with hazelnut milk, chia seeds, almond butter, dark cherries, banana and cinnamon
Mug of strong coffee

No lunch

Pot of fresh lemon, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric and honey tea

Dinner: Haddock fillet with stir fried broccoli, leeks, peppers, spinach and garlic (nice, but was craving chip shop chips!!)

Glass of Prosecco

L - ham sandwich and some left over roast potatoes from yesterday

D - asparagus and green bean risotto

S - some apple and greek yogurt

Two slices of wholemeal bread and marmalade, a coffee with soya milk and one sugar.
4 squares bournville orange, small handful of cashews and craisins.
Pot of greek yoghurt, teaspoon of honey, chopped apple and cinnamon.
Two veggies sausages, roast potatoes, peas, sweetcorn, broccoli, onion gravy and some lingonberry jam.

Not a good day nutritionally today.

B: oranges straight off the tree.
L: double cheeseburger, chicken pops, small fries, zero zero (sugar & caffeine free) coke. Extra cheeseburger.
S: nuts

L- smoothie made with protein powder, grapefruit and water. 2 tangerines
S- 2 apples
T - M&S count on us ready meal, added some extra cooked chicken and mushrooms.

@AwkwardSquad Omg they were AMAZING. First ones I've had and I've been itching to try some. Technically I'm not supposed to eat them due to sugars but I couldn't resist and I really should have because now I know what I'll be missing 😂😂😂
