A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

@afternoonspray@Phycadelicsilhouette savoury crumble sounds lovely, I’m going to give that a try too. I’ve got a squash and some leeks so I’ll try that one first

@SandyPosy I love a savoury crumble! If you read any of my daily food lists, you'll see I eat more than anyone else on MN ever!
Yesterday: B, granola, prunes, yoghurt, toast and marmite, black coffee.
Mid-morning: black coffee, mince pie (you see? I had one, and now I need them every day)
Lunch: bacon, scrambled eggs, toast, tea.
Supper: black bean chilli, brown rice, spring greens. Tea, miniature Green and Blacks dark choc bar.

Today I have eaten...

Breakfast - a slice of date and walnut bread toasted and buttered with coffee.

Lunch - a ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion and mayonnaise seeded wrap with an apple and a small square of homemade fruity flapjack.

Dinner - chicken fajitas with mini roasted garlic and paprika potatoes and avocado salad.

Last night I also had a sherbet fountain (anyone noticed the liquorice has dramatically decreased in size?!

@Bloodybridget you eat lovely food and I especially like your first and second breakfasts.

B - nothing
10.30ish Apple Nakd bar
1.45ish - muesli, flaxseed, kiwi, yoghurt and an apple
D - leek, potato and smoked haddock soup with a slice of walnut bread; another slice of walnut bread with butter and honey

B: porridge with banana, looooads of tea (2 year old was up at an ungodly hour!)
L: cheese & pickle Sandwich, cup a soup, an apple
Mini billionaires shortcake thing from M&S
D: beef goulash with rice
Natural yoghurt with strawberries & honey

I've had about 12 cups of tea today!

Co-Op tuna & cucumber sandwich

I didn't know what to make for tea so I tipped a bag of Tesco's frozen Mediterranean veg into the won along with mushrooms, red onion and a bag of bbq Oomph! (pretend chicken) and stir-fried it in chilli oil with some garlic, bbq seasoning, bbq sauce, tomato ketchup, honey, dried chilli flakes and s&p. I've served it on a garlic flatbread and topped it with blue cheese and cheddar.

D- steak, chips and veg (mid-week treat, yum!)

L: pork belly, mash, carrots, broccoli (in lovely riverside pub). Black coffee.
Supper: cheese on toast, mince pie, tea.

Today I’ve eaten...

Breakfast - Greek yogurt with chopped apricots and prunes, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkling of mixed seeds.

Lunch - some cheese and crackers, a pear and some dried cherries.

Dinner - lasagne, garlic bread and salad.

Snack - 8 squares of white chocolate.

L - small snack box of cubes of cheddar, walnuts, radishes, sultanas and green plantain crisps; an apple
Peanut Nakd bar
D - leek, potato and smoked haddock soup with shredded greens and small slice walnut bread
Planning on having some rose milk chocolate

Weird, grazy day as I had to be out of the house with a toddler and baby by 12pm for a playgroup.

B: scrambled eggs on toast, tea, small glass of apple juice
L: fishcakes with broccoli and green beans (it was all still a bit frozen so only ate a little 😆)
Mid afternoon: shared some honey on toast with toddler, plus a small homemade chocolate cupcake with a cup of tea
D: Thai pumpkin soup with a slice of bread and butter

Currently having PMS cramps and feel like I haven't eaten a proper full meal today so going to dive head first into some plum yoghurt and chocolate in a little bit!

L- itsu katsu noodle pot
S- pop chips
D- chow mein ready meal
S- 2 crumpets with PB

Period pain and trying to pack for a week away from tomorrow, my appetite is pap!

I'm going to miss daily posting here for the next week - I need a life!

S passionfruit sykr yogurt thing from Alid
L Aldi Mediterranean tuna past lunch pot (very sweet, bit unpleasant)
S 1 quorn sos, 2 hash browns, 2 fried eggs, cherry tomatoes and wholemeal bap with butter
S black grapes
Also finished some of the kids' mash they left ( I know, I know!!).

B: Fruit and Fibre with blueberries, toast and marmite, black coffee.
L: avocado and chorizo on sourdough toast, black coffee (cafe lunch).
Afternoon tea of scones and clotted cream at a friend's (I don't eat jam). Tea.
Supper: steak and kidney pie, mash, spring greens and carrots. Few segments of tangerine, tea.

Hi all - apologies for my lack of posts - been so busy watching tennis I keep running out of time!

Just doing my online food shop and stealing loads of your ideas Smile

Yesterday I had:
B - plums with ginger, Greek yogurt, muesli
S - raspberry ruffle bar
L - leftover risotto (just with butter and parmesan), an orange
D - fish, sweet potato fries, peas.

Today I have eaten...

Breakfast - 3 crispy hash browns with 2 scrambled eggs and 2 slices of bacon with coffee.

Lunch - Nothing, just coffee. (still full from breakfast so after being out I came home and had an afternoon nap before after school time! Blush)

Snack - A Reece’s peanut butter cup.

Dinner - Crispy baked potatoes with tuna mayonnaise, grated cheese, baked beans and a salad.

Having a movie night with DC so we’re having our pudding instead of extra snacks. It will be a brownie square with a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream.

My diet has been rubbish lately, eating out, too much wine and choc etc. On a healthy eating plan to slim before Christmas.

Today :

Coffee
Two eggs
Greek yog and plum compote

Cottage cheese
A small Starbucks filter coffee

Massive baked pot, cucumber, tuna, feta
Bowl of veg soup in the side

Dinner is either soup and chesse or pie (small portion for moi), veg, baby New spuds

I need 5 lbs gone in one month!

B - half slice walnut bread and butter; muesli, flaxseed, kiwi, yoghurt, pomegranate seeds
L - small dollop of egg mayo, red cabbage slaw, green salad, radishes, cherry tomatoes and half a slice of walnut bread
A few green plantain crisps
D - Mediterranean fish soup, two small slices bread; oat molasses cookie
Reasonably sure there’ll be some chocolate later

onlyhereforthefood its rubbish isn't it. I've been bad with them again today, just want to curl up on settee but have a toddler and baby to care for.

I ended up mainlining a shocking amount of chocolate last night. Haven't binged on Chocolate in aaaages. Thankfully I'm trying to gain a little weight 😆

Today:
B: porridge with honey, small glass of apple juice
Mid morning: shortbread biscuit with a cup of tea
L: spaghetti Bolognese
D: homrmade chicken goujons and chips, with tenderstem broccoli, peas

Also had several glasses of wine and will be getting chocolate out again soon 🙈
