Shiny new thread, continuing from here

I had a random selection of jalapeno hummus, oatcakes, olives, sun dried tomatoes, fresh bread, Olive oil and Balsamic vinegar for dipping, brie cheese and chutney. Enjoyed every mouthful.

I've got some of my new chocolate to try out later, just decided whether to have lemon on lavender flavoured dark chocolate.

AwkwardSquad · 26/10/2019 20:08

Or a bit of each? Is it Seed & Bean?

My favourite chocolatier has got a dark chocolate with rosemary and sea salt bar - looking forward to trying it.

Breakfast - coffee (skipped breakfast as went to cinema early on).

Snacks at cinema - wispa gold, snickers, some haribo.

Lunch - Beans on seeded toast with grated Edam on top.

Dinner - Not had anything yet. Got super into Lego with my DC. Did them chicken, chorizo and veggie pasta in a sauce as something quick and easy as we got so lost in it! (The Lego). Not sure what to have yet. Really fancy something delicious but I have no want to cook just for myself tonight!

@AwkwardSquad That ice cream sounds beyond delicious!

Does anybody have any good recipes to use up pumpkin flesh? We’ll be carving ours either tomorrow or Tuesday and all I’ve ever made is pumpkin pie and pumpkin soup which are delicious but I’d love some new tried and tested ideas! Always use the seeds for pepitas though, they’re delicious!

Ah, hello again! This thread dropped off my active list.

Today has been

Tea, toasted hot cross bun with scraping of butter, espresso with hot milk.

Leftover vegan sweet potato, cauliflower and green bean biryani.

Tonight will be roast lamb, roast potatoes, steamed cauliflower and broccoli, green beans, carrots and peas, gravy and mint sauce.

Two glasses of pinot so far, might have a glass of red in a minute.

Bloodybridget · 27/10/2019 19:58

IJumped very pleased to hear you can eat solid food again!
I couldn't have chemo on Friday as bloods weren't good enough, will try again on Tuesday. So I've been eating like a pig building up my strength with plenty of everything, including multiple breakfasts at odd hours of the night.
Today: 1am, toast and marmite, tea. Breakfast at 5am, granola, blueberries, banana, yoghurt; toast and marmite, black coffee. 8am, toast, tea.
11am, cappuccino.
L: (out) roast beef etc. Vast plateful.
5pm: cup of tea
Supper: leftover roasted Mediterranean veg and couscous, two veg samosas. Tea and several bits of dark chocolate with whole hazelnuts.

onlyhereforthefood · 27/10/2019 20:04

@Phycadelicsilhouette steam/puree it and use it in baking?

IJumpedAboardAPirateShip · 28/10/2019 02:41

Thanks @Bloodybridget though sorry to hear you have to go back again for chemo - what does it mean your bloods not being good enough? Kind of loving your hobbit like multiple breakfasts!!

B: coffee and a vegan croissant
S: matcha latte and a slice of DS’s birthday cake (peanut butter and chocolate made by yours truly, ‘twas delicious!)
D: slice of bread and butter, IPA, sweet potato and spinach curry
