2 slices of wholemeal seeded toast with that new fangled marmite peanut butter.

6 toffifee sweets.

3 quails eggs with celery salt. Some large prawns dipped in lemon mayo. Some pistachio nuts. A baked ricotta cheese with courgette sauce. Lemon chicken roasted with olives and red onion, roast potatoes, roast tomatoes and beetroot, steamed broccoli. A slice of chocolate and pecan pie. Small pieces of dolcelatte and garlic and herb cheese with a couple of crackers. My Italian friend did an amazing dinner party!

3 mugs of tea, 1 glass apple juice, half a glass of prosecco, alcohol-free pear cider.

Phycadelicsilhouette · 06/10/2019 11:20

@Nextphonewontbesamsung your food diary sounds just amazing! YUM!

What’s the marmite peanut butter like? Worth it? DC and me saw it in the shop yesterday my first thought was YUM! But theirs was yuck!

GrapefruitGin · 06/10/2019 11:29

@Nextphonewontbesamsung ohhh wow, that sounds incredible!

PrivateSpidey · 06/10/2019 12:24

I want to go to an Italian dinner party! Sounds lovely.

Phycadelicsilhouette Vogel's is just bread, sorry for the boring answer! It's like Burgen-type seeded bread if you know what I mean - sort of small chewy slices. Quite nice.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 06/10/2019 12:58

Yes, the dinner was as delicious as it sounds - especially the quails eggs and the chicken. And she cooked it all with such enthusiasm, which was lovely. Also, for the non-drivers, there was a LOT of prosecco and then the most amazing collection of liqueurs.

The marmite peanut butter is very nice, can definitely recommend. But then I would say that as I am obsessed with marmite and often put it together with peanut butter on toast.

KondoKonvert · 06/10/2019 17:53

B: bacon, eggs and avocado
L: creamy chicken soup and a couple of slices of ham, two squares of dark chocolate
D: roast pork loin, roasted celeriac and broccoli

Phycadelicsilhouette · 06/10/2019 18:15

@PrivateSpidey the bread sounds nice! Never heard of the brand vogels before but sounds like the sort of bread I enjoy Smile
@Nextphonewontbesamsung I bet she enjoyed cooking it as much as you loved eating it! She sounds like an amazing cook! Will buy the marmite peanut better to try, thank you!

Food diary today....

Breakfast - sausage bap/roll/bun (I usually would say roll but then I’d have had a sausage roll for breakfast and that sounds odd) with a hash brown.

Lunch - leftover carrot and corriander soup from last night.

Dinner - roast beetroot, feta and walnut salad.

Snacks - belvita strawberry filled soft bake thing and a Tesco honey oat granola bar, and plenty of coffee through the day. (In all day de-cluttering and deep cleaning).

AwkwardSquad · 06/10/2019 18:42

Baked ricotta! I’m going to give that a try, it sounds really tasty and simple too.

B - muesli, flaxseed, stewed apple, yoghurt, drizzle of molasses
L - a sort of pilaff of giant couscous, onions, garlic, courgettes, peas, fennel greens and preserved lemon, served wit( a sprinkle of za’atar. It was delicious and I was very pleased with it as it was a bit of an experiment. Followed by a sliced apple
D - goat’s cheese in walnut and spelt flour pastry with beetroot and apple salad and beetroot chutney (also delicious); oat molasses cookie
Snacks - quite a lot... grapes, some chocolate, a couple if slices of freshly baked walnut bread with butter. Well, it’s Sunday after all :)

Some delicious sounding food today guys!

B- porridge with peanut butter swirled through
L- chicken salad sandwich
S- popchips, a few haribo rhubarb and custard sweets
D- venison casserole (from Sainsburys), sweet potato mash and green veg
S- 2 custard creams

Still quite poorly and appetite all over the place.

Phycadelicsilhouette · 06/10/2019 19:50

@AwkwardSquad I keep on noticing your walnut bread and it sounds amazing! Is it shop bought or do you make it? And if home made do you have a recipe please?

Phycadelicsilhouette · 06/10/2019 19:54

On the note of the haribo rhubarb and custard sweets I would so highly recommend the new rhubarb drumstick squashies! I’m not really a sweetie person (much prefer chocolate if I’m going to have a treat) but they are absolutely amazing! We dominated pushed a bag very quickly while out geocaching a couple of weekend ago and I’ve been meaning to get some more, maybe tomorrow Smile

Phycadelicsilhouette · 06/10/2019 19:55

Demolished not dominated pushed?! I have no idea how auto correct made that one!

DownstairsMixUp · 06/10/2019 19:56

Bad day for me!

Breakfast was a bacon and egg sarnie.

No lunch but snacked all day...

Had wotsits and a crunchie from a multipack.

Dinner was a roast.

Also had a bag of spicy crisps, handful of sweets and a kinder hippo thing. Plus gin.

onlyhereforthefood · 06/10/2019 19:58

@Phycadelicsilhouette I'm obsessed with those too! Rhubarb and custard everything!

Natsku · 06/10/2019 20:06

A cheese, meetwurst, and salt&vinegar crisp sandwich, and a cloudberry yoghurt with granola

Small handful of pic n mic, clementine

A sheetpan meal thingy with prawns, broccoli, cherry tomatoes and lots of lemon garlic butter, with pasta (DD declared it the best meal I've made in ages :) then said most of my meals are bad :( )

Toast and pate, and an apple cinnamon creamed rice thing

AwkwardSquad · 06/10/2019 20:56

@Phycadelicsilhouette DP makes it, no recipe unfortunately. It’s a wholemeal base with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and walnuts. Baked in a cob shape.

@onlyhereforthefood rhubarb is one of my absolute favourite foods and flavours ever!
@AwkwardSquad sounds delicious, maybe I’ll try and google something. Although not yet, life’s a bit too busy.
Starting a new job tomorrow and de-cluttering has turned into more re-decorating!

Added to yesterdays’ food diary in the evening was 2 beers.

Todays’ food diary is...

Breakfast - A blueberry nutrigrain bar, a banana and coffee.

Lunch - Leftover carrot and coriander soup with bread, an apple and another blueberry nutrigrain bar.

Dinner - will soon be... Crumb topped rainbow trout with dauphinois potatoes, green beans and peas.
