Favourite biccies are occasionally discussed on here but there must be some that a lot of folk don't particularly care for, or are taste-divisive. Mine are:

Digestives. Too dry and bland.
Rich Tea. Not much better than Digestives.
Jammy Dodgers. Never liked them - too soft and over-sweet.
Garibaldi. Chewy dead flies.
Custard Cream. Never got the appeal.
Oreos. As per Custard Cream but much worse. They remind me of dog biscuits.

I am prepared to be denounced as a heretic but so be it BiscuitBiscuitBiscuit.

Oreos. Dry cardboard.

crummyusername · 12/09/2019 20:36

On the other hand - McVities Fruit Shortcake - bleurgh. Raisins are so chewy it’s like eating a car tyre.

TateWorm · 12/09/2019 20:36

Bourbons
Garibaldi (anything with dried fruit tbh)
Oreos
Penguins

Surprised a fair few folk aren't Hob Nobs fans. I like them, especially the chocolate variety.

Does anyone not like Lotus Biscoff (£1.00 in Morrison's just now) ?

I dislike garibaldi, bourbons and fig rolls.
Not keen on custard creams, Oreo (liked a beefed up bourbon), or party rings.

Doobydoo · 12/09/2019 20:38

Hobnobs..any kind. Those coconut ones(Nice).
Anything with Oats..Yuck.

Floralnomad · 12/09/2019 20:38

I don’t like party rings or fig rolls and we cannot have custard creams in the house because the dog projectile vomits if he even smells one .

Doobydoo · 12/09/2019 20:39

Yuck to the Lotus Biscoff ones.

onlyhereforthefood · 12/09/2019 20:40

Unless it's lemon flavoured I'll eat it and love it.

MillieMoodle · 12/09/2019 20:41

Party rings

@Gormless WHAT?! They are food from the gods. Please send all unwanted party rings my way.

I can't stand "nice" biscuits, malted milk and garibaldi. DH likes all of them. He has appallingly shit taste in biscuits.

CoffeeandLotsofCake · 12/09/2019 20:42

I can't believe how much hate custard creams are getting! 😱

I was close to a break down when there was a shortage a few years back!

57Varieties · 12/09/2019 20:43

Fig rolls
Cheap biscuits eg custard creams, bourbons
Pink wafers. Loved these as a child, tried them as an adult and they are rancid
Iced gems
Party rings
Ginger nuts
Plain hobnobs
Rich tea fingers
Plain digestives
Jammie dodgers

57Varieties · 12/09/2019 20:43

Oh and Oreos are rank too

Aldibaldi555 · 12/09/2019 20:44

Wagon wheels
Garibaldi
Fig rolls
Custard creams
Pink wafers
Malted milk
Bourbon

TBH I only eat expensive biscuits like M&S cookies

57Varieties · 12/09/2019 20:44

Oh and anything with this horrid hard currants in

Pinkarsedfly · 12/09/2019 20:45

Garabaldis
Fruit Shortcake
Oatmeal and raisin cookies

Sensing a theme?

57Varieties · 12/09/2019 20:47

Oh I’d forgotten about lemon puffs! Rancid

Does anyone remember Sports Biscuits? They were shite, and pointless.

GeoffreyAndBungle · 12/09/2019 20:48

Party rings- dry and crumbly.

Iced gems- hard and tasteless.

TheNestedIf · 12/09/2019 20:48

Oreos again- Texture of a hockey puck with none of the flavour.
Morning Coffee - Rich Tea with bonus crumbs.

Are there actually people who are not only indifferent to but actively dislike custard creams? The best biscuit? What is wrong with you?

By the way, a fig roll is actually a cake, apparently (by coincidence, DP and I were arguing about this at the weekend and I lost), so not only are you fig roll haters all wrong and perverted, you shouldn't even be on this thread.

Stravapalava · 12/09/2019 20:50

I don't like bourbons or Oreos. This is apparently very controversial. Hmm

lotusbell · 12/09/2019 20:50

Bourbons - not a fan of chocolate flavoured things, Hobnobs - dry dry dry, digestive- dry, but ok when it's s hovis with cheese, wagon wheels - weird stale biscuit base, penguins - the filling is nasty but weirdly, would probably pick Rich Tea as my fave. I dont even like tea! I also love Morning Coffee. Ok, I'm odd!

BercowsFlyingFlamingo · 12/09/2019 20:51

I have a brexit stash of jammy dodgers and want to raid it after reading this thread!

I don't like Oreos. The knock of versions are half the price and just as unpleasant but my children love them. I refuse to pay the price of Oreos. American stuff is often weird. Oreos are proof.

I really miss Fox's Classic dark chocolate. They were vegan and I loved to dip them in my black coffee when I was 18 (and vegan). I have fond memories of the guy I was dating when I think of those biscuits. They only do the milk chocolate version now and have done for about 20 years (god I feel old now). I'll have to buy some. And write to Fox's to ask them to bring back the dark chocolate ones.

Not keen on ordinary hobnobs. The milk chocolate ones however 🥰 dark chocolate hobnobs are just wrong. Ginger creams and classic creams. Why spoil a good biscuit with that nasty cream stuff? I used to love penguins as a child but they are nasty now.

I'm not a fan of cookies either.

GeoffreyAndBungle · 12/09/2019 20:51

OMG I'd forgotten about lemon puffs 🤮

lotusbell · 12/09/2019 20:52

Thanks for reminding me, can I add malted milk to my list? Hated them even in primary school!

sunshine5997 · 12/09/2019 20:52

Oreos and pink wafers 🤮 just the thought makes me heave
