A thousand strawberry lollies and the Princess of Liechtenstein - any Cabin Pressure fans around?

I’ve just been binging on Cabin pressure and then I saw this news story - an off duty EasyJet pilot was going on holiday but they were delayed as waiting for a relief crew. He had his licence and was within hours so offered to fly the plane and they accepted. It made me think of Martin’s interview with Swiss Air when he said he never went anywhere without his pilot’s licence!! I think I might need a life Blush

I’d love it to come back!

Whilst I agree that each episode can be listened to as a stand alone, for the first time round I would listen to them in order (I can't remember why there are a couple out of sync when it came to broadcasting - Cremona and Boston, Helsinki and Gdansk I think), but those swaps don't matter in terms of story line.

But there are some threads to the overall story that you would miss if you dip in and listen to random episodes. Like Mr Birling, Martin's salary, Douglas's rank, and the delightfully long build up to the final 2 episodes, Zurich in which all elements are wonderfully brought together. The characters evolve and their relationships develop in such a subtle way that it would be a shame to miss out on that.

Then yo

Alphabetical works perfectly. I didn't know they were broadcast in a different order. Maybe Boston would have been a bit tactless to broadcast that week.

Yes I would listen alphabetical to start with. In the farewell bear facts on JF’s blog he explains why some were broadcast out of order. Eg when it was still relatively unknown (pre Sherlock) they led with Helsinki for the first episode of series 2 as it had Alison Steadman in so more likely to be reviewed and written about etc.

Absolutely love this show. The way the characters develop are great towards the end and begin to work together is really good.

I do like reading the Farewell Bear Facts - writing such a show must be such hard work and he has made it work really well.

Love Douz " You're not the only ones to have an Empire"...

And Qikitarjuarak.

Plus Vaduz....

Well, they're all great - and you can see how they all get into the characters.

I saw JF last year - the show is great.

Another one here who thought of Martin and his licence when I read that story!
