Stuck in a village in Yorkshire - help

So we've let our friends choose a B&B (they don't arrive till tomorrow) and there's literally nothing to do. We're in Monk Fryston - we thought we were going to Harrogate!

Can anyone recommend good bars/restaurants near here? We aren't local... I have no clue

Ah, you're just up the road from where my ex FIL lives now. He bought a house there from abroad at very short notice, when he got a job at Leeds Uni. He assumed he'd be living a life of cocktails and designer shopping too, until he got there and realised it would be a life of being stuck in a traffic jam Mon - Fri and staring at flat fields with neighbours who couldn't comprehend him at the weekend . He does love it now though.

Go to York ! Beautiful and loads of gorgeous shops and places to eat. OMG that SELBY Comment 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤣 I grew up around there and just no !! Hahaha !

Actually though SELBY does have a very nice Abbey !
