Why not? How could anyone stop you?

Flamingo84 · 26/08/2019 10:12

You can take photos but not share, sell or publish them due to a French copyright law. Weird.

I recently found out that you should peel a banana from the bottom end, not the end you pull from the bunch. That’s how the monkeys do it, it’s more efficient apparently.

I reckon monkeys are trolling us on that because it’s impossible Grin

Vasya · 26/08/2019 10:19

Cleopatra lived closer in time to the creation of the iPhone than to the building of the great pyramids. That really blows my mind.

I've tried it and it is a lot harder to peel them that way. The monkeys clearly don't know what they're doing. Wink

Sunshineinwinter · 26/08/2019 10:26

Haha on the Disney Facebook page op??

I saw that yesterday too mind boggling.
Shock

noroominthefridge · 26/08/2019 10:27

Come on Eileen was a hit nearer to the end of WWII than to today Shock

LutherRalph1 · 26/08/2019 10:29

If you squash the banana end, it splits and it's a lot easier
I don't mind losing that little manky end bit

lostfrequencies · 26/08/2019 10:30

Hootenanny isn't filmed live on NYE. I felt like my life was a lie when I discovered that. I did always think that the celebs on it must have better places to be but didn't question it.

IAskTooManyQuestions · 26/08/2019 10:31

Oxford University (established 1176) existed before the Aztec Empire was founded (1428-1521)

ShirleyPhallus · 26/08/2019 10:32

The “pineapples grow on the ground” and “center Parcs isn’t under a glass dome” crew will be along soon!

Spoonsmum · 26/08/2019 10:33

lostfrequencies Me too!! The year I found out I had just had a baby, and I was over emotional and just so upset! I now make a point of telling everyone in case they ‘still belive’ 🤣🤣 at the time I literally felt personally offended!

Flamingo84 · 26/08/2019 10:33

I tried peeling the banana that way and it does seem harder! Obviously monkeys are far better at it Grin

PiggyPlumPie · 26/08/2019 10:33

lostfrequency I felt exactly the same when I was told that a few years ago - it's not been the same since! Grin

Omega369 · 26/08/2019 10:44

In the Netherlands it's considered extremely rude and inappropriate to say that you are hungry

lostfrequencies · 26/08/2019 10:57

Me too spoons but most people look at me like I'm mad for ever thinking it was!

TeaStory · 26/08/2019 11:07

@ShirleyPhallus The “pineapples grow on the ground” and “center Parcs isn’t under a glass dome” crew will be along soon!

And “Gibraltar isn’t an island”!

LemonRedwood · 26/08/2019 11:09

@ShirleyPhallus

And the arrow on the petrol gauge (no, it's not in every car)
And the toaster numbers are minutes (no, they're not)

Grin
Redshoeblueshoe · 26/08/2019 11:13

Noroominthefridge you just made me feel very old Blush

Allington · 26/08/2019 11:16

That you can get an on-line library card for e-books!

SgtFredColon · 26/08/2019 11:19

I’ve always peeled my bananas that way, I can’t do it the other way with the stalk!

I remember a debate on here about the toaster numbers and whether they were length of time or levels of toastiness. Surely that is the same thing!

Courtney555 · 26/08/2019 11:21

Sharks can eject their entire stomach linings out of their mouths like a massive tongue, shake it around to rinse it, then gulp it back in again. Incase they swallow something poisonous.

There are no such fish as "whitebait" it's just a term for any fish of a certain size.

Grimbles · 26/08/2019 11:21

Sweat bands that are worn on the wrists are so you can wipe the sweat from your brow.

I had in mind they were somehow supposed to keep sweat of your hands or something and considered them a bit useless. It was only when I saw a tennis player wiping sweat from their face that it twigged... Blush

Croquembou · 26/08/2019 11:22

I never understood how people believed the toaster numbers are minutes one - my toaster goes up to 9, they really believed it was an option to cook toast for 9 minutes?!
