Oslo will be car free by 2020.

Lol at monkeys trolling us!

Standstilling · 26/08/2019 13:58

@peachgreen I can click my fingers without them touching my hand (admittedly have only tried it because of this thread Smile) and they still click. Maybe I’m a freak...

hoteltango · 26/08/2019 14:00

MumUndone - I think it's because scientists are able to measure the mass of the gas giants - something to do with gravity, I believe - and the mass is what it is because it's only gas. If there were a rocky middle, the mass would be different.

That's about as far as I can go for some kind of explanation. Grin

vinergartom · 26/08/2019 14:03

The monkeys aren’t trolling us, we’ve trolled ourselves. Monkeys don’t really eat bananas (in the wild), or they just stuff them straight in their gobs when given them.

APheasantPluckersSon · 26/08/2019 14:04

I recently learnt that owls have long, skinny legs

Topseyt · 26/08/2019 14:09

Is it only me who has never managed to click my fingers? 😦

Biancadelrioisback · 26/08/2019 14:18

If you hum, then block your nostrils, the sound stops

Biancadelrioisback · 26/08/2019 14:19

Oh and, only 1 in 10 people can lick their armpit

Witsendagain · 26/08/2019 14:20

Giraffes hum!
Found out when googling what noise giraffes make because they appear in every single children's book and my son always asks! 😂

cheesenpickles · 26/08/2019 14:22

If you wiggle your fingers in your ears it sounds like Pac-Man

Tighnabruaich · 26/08/2019 14:23

They can switch off Niagara Falls and sometimes do at night.

MrsDeltaB · 26/08/2019 14:25

Tin foil is meant to be used dull side up. 😳

BigcatLittlecat · 26/08/2019 14:30

The game TAG actually stands for touch and go!

AnathemaPulsifer · 26/08/2019 14:36

They can switch off Niagara Falls and sometimes do at night.

Utter rubbish. They have once in the 60s diverted the flow to the Canadian side leaving the American side dry, and they may do it again. They don’t jus5 turn it off at night on a whim, it’s a huge undertaking.

Aquamarine1029 · 26/08/2019 14:58

Until quite recently, I had no idea that the population of Madagascar was nearly 30 fucking million people. I knew it was decently populated, what I mean by that I'm really not sure, but 30 million?! I was blown away.

Biancadelrioisback · 26/08/2019 15:03

@Roaebud21 but it's not humming if your mouth is open?

CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre · 26/08/2019 15:26

Cheese but how do you feel about Farlington?!

cheesenpickles · 26/08/2019 15:30

Lol, it's still not but we'll keep it for the Sainsbury's Grin(much better than the one down town).

Pinkarsedfly · 26/08/2019 15:31

I learned today that the word ‘sabotage’ comes from the French word ‘sabot’ meaning ‘clog’.

Fed-up workers used to drop a clog in the machine to stop it - hence ‘sabotage’.

Love me a bit of etymology.

Kinsters · 26/08/2019 15:35

Topseyt I can't click my fingers, or whistle.

augustusglupe · 26/08/2019 15:37

That Glasgow is in Scotland not Ireland....I know Blush

Jamhandprints · 26/08/2019 15:41

@lostfrequencies, @PiggyPlumPie, @Spoonsmum I was devastated to discover the truth about the Hootenany and haven't really watched it since. What's the point...of anything now?
