I wrote this for a school holiday project when I was 12, and my teacher crossed it out and wrote RUBBISH

Fact is, female blackbirds are brown, Miss. My dad's bird book said so. So, all these years later, I can now say SUCKS TO YOU

I mean that if there's something that's on the cusp between red and orange he'll call it red and I'll call it orange. Same for green and blue. The cutoff point between colours varies between languages.
We're both English, but we always have arguments about turquoise/aqua. My husband calls it green or blue, depending on the shade. I thought perhaps he has fewer colour cone cells in his eyes?

I feel less of a numpty now that I didn't know it was called Sol (despite teaching science for ten years!). I do like the idea of it having a name tho. The book I'm currently reading refers to Sol system for our solar system (Altho is sci-do)
