Oasis, Live Forever. Me and my best uni friend swaggering around the dance floor, feeling like we would, and that we had the world at our feet.

He inexplicably cut contact with me after uni and I’ve never heard from him again. And I no longer feel like I’ll live forever and I still miss him. If I hear it I full on can’t- breathe sob and howl.

My dad was a quiet man of few words but I know he loved me. I wish I had told him I loved him back more often and just talked about life.

Weirdly, i think all the songs i've chosen were written to be nostalgic in the first place!

When I hear it now I could weep at my lost youth and how things never really turned out like I thought back then

I have songs for each of my DC which always break my heart a little. DD1 'My Girl' by The Temptations. DS 'Babe' by Take That, and DD2 'Sara' by fleetwood Mac.
Also 'This Woman's Work' by Kate Bush and 'Cry To Me' by Solomon Burke when exh had left me for OW.
'Sleeping Satellite' by Tasmin Archer. Reminds me of being married, having DD1 (One year old) and being pregnant with her brother and realising that I was stuck in a marriage to someone who didn't love me. Like a PP, proper ugly crying involved, snot bubbles and everything.

Hurt by Christina Aguilera reminds me of a sad time in my life.

Soul asylum - runaway train. Reminds me of being a teenager and losing my dad and just feeling so so lost.
Savage garden - truly madly deeply & semisonic - closing time take me straight back to the time & people that put my life back together. outsselftothosewhoknow
Christina perri 1000 years. I listened to this a loy during 8 long uears of infertility. "And all along i believed i would find you..."....and i did :)

For a song that drops me instantly back into me teenage angst years - Zombie by the Cranberries.

Also the whole of ‘californication’ by the red hot chilli peppers - drops me straight into my worst term at Uni and I can’t listen to it now....

'Dance with my father again'as my dad loved to dance with my sister and I but I felt embarrassed and wouldn't always do so. Now however to have one chance, I would dance with my father again!
