Driving around in the evening with my best friend listening to The Colour and the Shape on tape. Flipping it over to listen to Barenaked Ladies -Stunt.
Such easy times.

Coldplay Parachutes reminds me of the night I cried when I found out my BF had cheated on me. Weirdly, fall at your feet - Crowded House features in that relationship too. Seems a popular choice!

Alice cooper - poison. KOL - sex on fire. Jane weidlin - rush hour, all remind me of what almost was.

Night swimming - REM.
Jagged little pill - alanis morissette. Oh the 13 year old anger!

I love music. Instantly transports you to somewhere else.

LeslieYep · 18/08/2019 02:48

@mammyloveswine was it Bad Day by REM?

BenWillbondsPants · 18/08/2019 03:36

Thorn in My Side by the Eurythmics reminds me of a fantastically happy period in my life with a truly wonderful man. Before I spectacularly fucked up and ruined my life. I doubt I'll ever be that happy again, but I've learned to live with that.

Loveislandaddict · 18/08/2019 04:11

99 Red Balloons - takes me back to school post school production party, and always makes me slightly wistful for my youth and teenage years

Zaphodsotherhead · 18/08/2019 16:36

Oh, and the sax break in 'Baker Street' takes me right back to sitting in my bedroom with freezing cold feet, watching the snow fall outside. Just looking out on that bleak snowscape with the sax playing in the background...

dustarr73 · 18/08/2019 16:51

@mammyloveswine was it Daniel Powter Bad Day.

PuppyMonkey · 18/08/2019 16:57

I love a lot of these but don’t find them too painful to listen to. The ones I do struggle with are:

This Woman’s Work - Kate Bush
Winter - Tori Amos
Dance with my Father - Luther Vandross.

Sad
Mileysmiley · 18/08/2019 17:18

Chris De Burgh - Lady In Red (and then he left her for the nanny!)

Mileysmiley · 18/08/2019 17:20

This is what I meant to post lol

Mileysmiley · 18/08/2019 17:28

This is super embarrassing but a few years ago Peter Kay and Gary Barlow sung the theme tune to Home and Away, and it made me feel really nostalgic and I might have shed a tear for a care free time when I would come home and watch it after school, after my gcses I had some quite big MH issues and since then there has never been a time that my family has not been affected by MH problems or cancer.
Also baby I love your way - big mountain
I swear (boyz to men??)
remind me of the summer I did GcSEs and the amazing summer afterwards and feeling of freedom.
