Al the scandals buried. DAMN!!

I think the civil case with the 13 year old has been published without any context at all so probs my best to view it with an open mind.

We don’t know whether a criminal case was pursued (which would be the obvious avenue for justice) or what happened in this civil case- whether it was settled, won, lost, or thrown out at the first hurdle.

MrsVanCleef · 11/08/2019 20:26

So apparently Epstein introduced Melania to Trump ! I wonder why they fell out.

@youarenotkiddingme some parents don’t care what their children do. Or they do, but their children are groomed and it’s an extremely complex situation- many of the victims of street grooming gangs in Rotherham, Telford, oxford etc had concerned parents who weren’t able to stop their children leaving to be abused

Passthecherrycoke · 11/08/2019 20:35

From Info on another thread. And assuming the dates match ok and trump didn’t have multiple law suits going on that year accusing him of sexual assault it seems like the plaintiff in the 13 year old case withdrew her lawsuit before it got anywhere

Passthecherrycoke · 11/08/2019 20:38

“The Katie Johnson lawsuit: This is the only accusation against Trump for Epstein-related wrongdoing. An anonymous woman sued Trump in 2016, claiming that in 1994, he violently raped her at an orgy hosted by Epstein. She said she was 13 years old at the time, and accused Epstein of raping her as well. She first filed suit in California under the name “Katie Johnson,” and when it was thrown out there for technical reasons, she filed it in New York under “Jane Doe.”

But many journalists were wary about this claim. There was no corroborating evidence offered (except for affidavits from two anonymous people claiming to have been told of or witnessed it), and the suit appeared “to have been orchestrated by an eccentric anti-Trump campaigner with a record of making outlandish claims about celebrities,” the Guardian’s Jon Swaine wrote. Jezebel’s Anna Merlan tried for some time to get to the bottom of what was going on and concluded in June 2016, “The facts speak less to a scandal and more, perhaps, to an attempt at a smear.”

Trump himself said, “The allegations are not only categorically false, but disgusting at the highest level and clearly framed to solicit media attention or, perhaps, are simply politically motivated.”

All that was before the Access Hollywood tape and before many women had spoken out publicly to accuse Trump of sexual assault. But even after that, the anonymity of “Katie Johnson” and the sketchiness of her associates kept mainstream US journalists wary about this accusation. She ended up withdrawing her lawsuit days before the 2016 election; her attorney Lisa Bloom said it was because she was getting death threats.”

Iggly · 11/08/2019 20:45

As far as I’m concerned Trump knew what was happening at the very least. His comments about girls being a little on the young side....???? Reminds me of paedophiles who make grooming type comments which are a bit odd, and only once you know they’re a paedophile, do you click why they’re weird.

Roussette · 11/08/2019 20:46

But Trump will be re elected in 2020

Not necessarily...

bananasandwicheseveryday · 11/08/2019 20:59

I don't usually post on these threads, but I have to say that as soon as I heard the news yesterday, my first thought was that Andrew and Sarah probably would remarry now - partly to try to change the focus, but also because as his wife, she could not be made to testify against him shouldn't ever get to court. Them being at Balmoral already means they could easily claim they were already there to ask The Queen's permission to marry. I'll watch this space.

Outsomnia · 11/08/2019 21:01

@Roussette

Who are the Democratic candidates? Not being ageist, but any I have seen have lived their lives and need to hand it over to a younger progressive and intelligent candidate. Who could that be I wonder? The Dems have had nearly four years now to mount a defence to the Orange one, but nothing is happening. I also don't think Joe Biden will cut it.

And now with the Clintons apparently close to Epstein, I dunno.

There is no opposition really, just like UK.

Is it a plot or what!

Justanotherlurker · 11/08/2019 21:24

I just knew n epstein thread would be turned into a partisan issue, so much for MN being the height of critical thinking and intelligence, even more so considering it is a UK based website.

This case isn't a partisan issue and anyone trying to make it political should be ashamed, there are many long standing 'good guys' implicated and with far more evidence than trump.

Anyone trying to make this political is playing the same games that

yaxley lennon does, and there has been some game playing on these threads.

Whosorrynow · 11/08/2019 21:34

So Andrew and Sarah were already constructing the ramp leading up to their remarriage, as if they knew that things are about to get really ugly with the Epstein case?

Outsomnia · 11/08/2019 21:36

Ok @Justanotherlurker

You might have to remember that post Brexit we will be the 51st State.

How do feel about that?

Justanotherlurker · 11/08/2019 21:57

You might have to remember that post Brexit we will be the 51st State.
How do feel about that?

I think we should gloss over the nordic model that is so often famed and imply their model of restricting of benefits to immigrants and forced health insurance is why the UK hasn't read 1984

Making political hay out of a pimp is a new low for this site though, showcasing how much RG uni's are actually delivering on the critical thinking route.

Havalina · 11/08/2019 23:55

You know reality has taken a hard turn when David Icke makes complete sense. I have always had a soft spot, but his problem, reaction, solution explanation plus totallitarian tiptoe is unfolding.

He does have some out there stuff, but he has been calling this kind of shit out for years.

BelleHathor · 12/08/2019 00:20

Nope totally agree, when I saw Trump retweet Terrance K yesterday about the Clinton's being involved, I was like 😮! But the amount of normal people who smell a fish , it's like red pills for all. 😉

didkdt · 12/08/2019 01:11

I don't know what to think of Sarah Ferguson's departure from Pronce Andrew's side at Balmoral.
It is billed as a Prince Philip thing, but let's be honest getting embroiled in this is a bit more than stand by your odious man

andyoldlabour · 12/08/2019 08:10

"Epstein had 14 different phone numbers for Trump. They were definitely good friends for that to have happened."

And everyone knows that Trump will throw anyone under the bus to save himself, which is why he tweeted about Clinton, who is just as bad but in a different/same way.

andyoldlabour · 12/08/2019 08:20

"Who are the Democratic candidates?"

Tulsi Gabbard is one, and looks to be sound of mind, which is a departure from the current lunatic in the White House.

Dowser · 12/08/2019 08:21

Ha Alina I watched some of David’s broadcasts last night
He says .20-30 years ago I was seen as a nutter, now people are coming up and saying...you were right

nolongersurprised · 12/08/2019 08:26

But Trump will be re elected in 2020. So let's brace ourselves. It is actually quite frightening. And we have actually no clue as to what happens here in this country either.

I don’t think he will, Trump seems to have a a form of dementia. Even if you exclude all the cognitive stuff with his word salad, repetition, slurring and “Toledo” nonsense, his gait and balance are deteriorating. He has an increasingly wide-based gait, a sort of forward thrust to his posture and struggles with stairs and uneven ground. He twitches and his tongue has begun to thrust.

There’ll likely be a succession plan but he’s neurologically slipping.

noblegiraffe · 12/08/2019 08:58

What is David Icke supposedly right about? Is Epstein a giant shape-shifting lizard?

Roussette · 12/08/2019 09:16

Dem candidates - what about Warren and Harris?

This is good to hear...

Bornfreebutinbiscuits · 12/08/2019 11:20

So eyes wide shut is supposedly kubric showing us epstein etc....

I'm not sure I believe that poster 314 link on data lounge. I don't doubt something like that could have happened but the way it's written doesn't seem legit to me.

Interesting claims on deutsch Bank as well...

Whosorrynow · 12/08/2019 11:25

@nolongersurprised
What you say about trumps mental deterioration is interesting and I know there is a lot of speculation on this subject!
Are you speaking about your own observations here, could you elaborate a little or do you have any links to further explanations?

FermatsTheorem · 12/08/2019 11:45

So eyes wide shut is supposedly kubric showing us epstein etc....

It wouldn't be the first time. One of Irvine Welsh's novellas (in The Acid House, IIRC) is blatantly about Savile.

These things tend to be known about by people who move in those circles, and openly alluded to/satirised/used as raw material for "arthouse films"/"the great American novel"/ whatever. I feel as though the creators get a kick out of the feeling that they know the inside dirt (while not of course doing anything at all constructive about knowing the inside dirt).
