Best perk of your job

What's the best perk you've ever had in your job?

Today I got a ride in a super rare supercar (I won't say the make and model as it would be very outing).

Previous perks have seen me try on a very ugly £20,000 diamond ring and also received a hamper full of heather honey once.

My commute is 6 miles of rural lanes. I can drop ds at school at 8.45 and be logged in & working by 9.00.

Completely flexible working!

Lovely Manager and Team. Total flexibility around work hours which is amazing for work life balance and being present for DD when she needs. Commute consists of a 10 min stroll from my house to the office!

NHS midwife: we're given lots of chocolates and other goddies by happy parents. And there's a lot of cute babies around.

Free tickets to all the concerts we put on (work for a music and theatre promoter). Can wear whatever you want and no one blinks an eye if you walk in at 11am because its trusted you will still do your job. Decent salary for a small company.

Oh and getting to meet famous people haha

All zones London travel card for me and my DH (I worked there, plus they gave one travel card for someone living at your address). Could be used any time. Saved me hundreds of pounds a year. Also got to test Oyster before it was available to the public. I used to travel around London and record how it charged when I switched modes and didn't touch in/out. Great fun Grin

Current job, term time only and finishes at 3pm.

I work in university admissions. I'm also doing my Masters degree in a subject taught by the faulty I work in (at a different uni). I am friends with dozens of academics who teach the subjects I'm studying and they are more than happy to look over my work, suggest articles I might find useful and generally keep me on the right track.

They NEVER help me "cheat", just generally give me the nod that my work is good and ready to submit.

I work for a small independent firm so no perks as such. HOWEVER I work 5 minutes from home and 5 minutes from the kids schools and have a great boss who pretty much let’s me come and go as I need to. So if there’s been a problem with childcare and my youngest needs to come in with me for an hour before I can drop her at nursery that’s fine, if the school drop something on us last minute I can leave early/start late no questions asked. They also paid for me to do professional qualifications which I never could have afforded otherwise.

Plus I love my job which is a perk in itself 😀

Christmas closure.

Erm...there's a gym and pool on site but you have to pay £40 a month to use them so not really a perk as such.

I sometimes use the printer for my own stuff.

That's about it.

All expenses paid trip to Argentina for 3 weeks, which involved work but plenty of time for travel around the country. Breathtakingly beautiful and unforgettable.
