I'm just watching a Queen documentary on tv.

Many songs move me, but no single lyric breaks my heart like "I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all" . The utter, desolate sadness of that simple statement, socks me every time I hear it.

"It's like running through the fire when there is nothing left to save, it's like chasing the very last train when it's too late".

The entire song Wires by Athlete, which I assume is about a newborn baby.

The whole song gets me but the line:

Just sets me off. Every time.

origamiunicorn it is about the lead singers daughter's first night alive.

I've never really put that whole song together and now it's another one for me to avoid and I suppose every other NICU parent too

It's ridiculous because it's from a Disney film, but in Lilo and Stitch, Stitch says to the Grand Council before they take him away "This is my family. I found it all on my own. It's little and broken but still good. Yeah, still good" and it breaks me each time I watch it.

On a happier note, "it feels like a long time coming fam" from Written in the Stars by Tinnie Tempah, finally connected with me when I was on Anti-Depressants and happy for the first time in years, I felt like I'd finally won.

The 9/11 remix of Heaven by DJ Sammy. Having a parent pass away (not in 9/11 and approx 8 years before that) it hits home every time and makes me sob.

The Menzingers have a a few lines that floor me:

And the last paragraph of Middlemarch makes me weep, but I couldn’t tell you why.
