Threw a bucket of water over the patio as need to put another line of clothes out.

After that I'm getting the frozon hot water bottle out the fridge and going to lie down.

Just looked at temps here.
30 now but feels like 32, rising all day until it gets to 34 and feels like 37.

Mid Wales.

Lightning maps shows some over channel at moment but that's nowhere near me.

My 2yr old was up at 2am screaming hot. Lounge said 34 even with fan and french doors open.

Realfeel here at moment is 28..

Low 20s here apparently but feels so much hotter to me. The Air Show is on over the weekend so of course its going to rain 🤷‍♀️

I have some washing to do but can't bear to go back upstairs...even my 110 year old house that's normally cool is really hot inside.

Jeez, even the 3 year old who has been begging for the paddling pool since 6 this morning wanted back in after ten minutes. Temperature on thermostat is saying 26 degrees inside. Today is going to be hard.

I'll tell you what though,. Thank God it's the middle of the week and not a weekend with this heat.

Can you imagine the noise? The arguments/fights as people have drunk too much, the BBQ smells, the fires that at least 1 nobhead has to start...

Less risk of it tonight as people have to work tomorrow.

33 degrees here. Kids have been on a sleepover and are out with friends for the day (friends are red heads so I know will be sensible with the sun at least!) and I've not slept much at all. Couldn't even lie in as our bedroom gets the morning sun and heats up fast.

I've not even got dressed yet - about to have a shower and go try to cool the car down a bit (least my air con works in there)

Pete I dunno, Thursday night is the biggest night for Londoners - the theory being they don't want to be hungover at a weekend. I'm in an outer burb but on the path between pubs and a night bus route so expecting a lot of noise.

Oh fuck I’ve just remembered DD2 is at the hospital tomorrow which is going to be a hot as hell tram ride and then an endless overheated wait. Oh joy!

Currently over 30c here according to fairies. I daren't take equipment outside to find out what it actually is.

My small air con unit has gone out of stock for this year. Now replaced on Amazon with a cheaper, not as effective unit. I'm so grateful I got it when I did. Minimal things plugged so it's only risen a bit inside so far but sun full on window now. Still unbearable inside but much much worse outside.

I really feel for everyone with health problems in this heat, and for those of you with children in hospital.

I’m finding it hard enough myself just indoors with the toddler and baby today. I planned to get them out in the garden first thing but I saw the grass was full of nettles so had to stay in. Rapidly running out of things to do (and patience/sanity) thank god its only one day and not weeks of it like last year

It feels like actual hell in my garden, had to nip out to hang up the washing. Struggling to breathe as my asthma has gone mad and all my joints are swollen so RA has kicked in. My cat was lying with her legs in the pond but the silly cow won't stay inside either as our living room is the actual sun

It’s 36 here now. Can’t even have the fan pointed at me as it’s like a hair dryer!

I couldn't sleep until about 3am. It was unbearable and I ended up napping on the sofa. I've had about 4 hours sleep, feel sick, have a banging headache, and I'm exhausted. Today is a write off in terms of getting anything done and I'm just willing it to hurry up and be tomorrow asap.

My thermometer app said 34 in my loft flat just before. I'm sat on the sofa wearing a damp cold towel with my feet on an ice block.

I'm feeling very grumpy.

I've found my tribe.

Sweating so much there's no point in me wearing clothes. If my children weren't off school I'd be butt naked.
