I love a food thread and normally pick up some new ideas as well Smile

Breakfast, poached eggs on toast. Lots of coffee

Lunch chicken salad & party rings with the dc

Dinner later will be sausage and butter bean stew & a bottle of red for me and dh

Dessert home made strawberry ice cream ( the ice cream maker has turned out to be a great buy)

Continental breakfast that my mum made.
Cappuccino and a muffin on the ferry.
KFC at the services.
A large bag of haribo and a bag of crisps.
A Chinese takeaway when I got home.
Just eaten a milky way.
Gallons of coffee.

B - muesli, kiwi, yoghurt
L - salad of rocket, baby plum tomatoes, basil and burrata, with beetroot and apple salad and cucumber; a couple of greengages (first time I’ve had burrata, I think I prefer a decent mozzarella)
Got a bit snacky in the afternoon and had a slice of fresh homemade bread, and a couple of handfuls of tortilla chips
D - sort-of-pilaf of brown rice with mushrooms, courgettes, onion, fennel greens and lemon zest, served with chard and peas
Probably a couple of oat molasses cookies later on...

Brunch - strawberry glaze french toast which was made up of
French toast, Strawberry, Strawberry Caviar (strawberry boba balls), Mascarpone, Cheesecake Mouse, Edible Flowers and a latte with a little heart on the top.

Tea - crispy properly cooked oven baked potato with butter, extra mature cheddar, tuna mayonnaise and some salad.

Snacks - a banana, a nectarine and 2 more fancy coffees (but made at home this time).

Today has been delicious!

Sausage roll with coleslaw, cous cous, lettuce and cucumber
Spaghetti with pesto, Parmesan, broccoli, spring greens and lardons.

Probably going to have a fake twister lolly and a mini bag of chocolate during the footy too.

A bagel with Philadelphia and 3 rich tea biscuits

Hungry day today (either adjusting to the whole 30 diet or PMS).

-Raspberry, banana, almond milk smoothie

  • two small sweet potato's with cashew butter, seeds and four chopped dates.
-Celery stick with cashew butter and raisins -Tomato and half an avocado. -half an apple (three year old ran off with other half)
  • mixed roast veg (sprouts, squash, red pepper, onion, potato, asparagus, mangtout) in a chimichuri sauce and a big dollop of hummous.
  • gallons of water to stop the hunger.
  • will probably have a cup of hot almond milk with some cacao before bed

Not a good day....

Brunch - sausage and egg McMuffin and a white coffee from Mac Donald’s

Tea - chicken, chips, coleslaw, corn and a slice of seeded bread and butter.

Feeling very full now but will maybe make myself a couple of medjoul dates pitted and stuffed with peanut butter and dark chocolate chips with a fancy coffee if I fancy a treat later on whilst watching girl interrupted.

Lunch was a ham salad roll with leftover roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese.
Homemade fish and chips for dinner.

Today I have had

3 cups of decaf tea and a gregs sausage role from a service station.

Later I might have a cheese sandwich.

Should have a salad but I am knackered, just got in. I have been driving for about 4. Hours and waiting around for several more

Those stuffed medjool dates sound delicious.

B - muesli, stewed apple, yoghurt, drizzle of maple syrup
Elevenses - turmeric latte and cinnamon danish (still on holiday!)
L - late lunch at beach seafood place with wood fired grill. Had mackerel fillets with cucumber and fennel salads, potatoes cooked on the grill, fresh flatbread, mayo and spicy pepper sauce
D - nothing, still full. Have eaten a couple of bits of cherry Turkish delight just because it was there. May have some apple and yoghurt later.

@Phycadelicsilhouette I made these truffles a while back, very tasty - you might like them:

Chocolate, date and peanut-butter truffles
Makes 22

270g fresh dates, pitted
40g almonds
95g smooth peanut butter
1 tbsp cocoa powder, plus extra for dusting

Place the dates, almonds, peanut butter and cocoa in a food processor and whizz until finely chopped and well combined. Using slightly damp hands, roll 2 tsp of the mixture into a ball and dust with the extra cocoa. Set aside on a baking tray lined with nonstick baking paper. Repeat with the remaining mixture. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container until ready to serve.

@Awkwardsquad thank you so much for the recipe, they sound super delicious!
I’d have to eat them quickly though as I am currently without fridge!
It’s broken down but freezer part still working and we’re slowly emptying it before buying new one. (Hence the lack of fresh produce at the moment!)
Your food sounds amazing as always! I especially like the sound of your lunch! what does turmeric in a latte taste like?

Ah, they’re no good without a fridge, they get too messy! It’s the cocoa.

The turmeric latte I like is from Prêt and doesn’t have any coffee in it (can’t drink coffee anymore, sadly), it’s made with coconut rice milk so it’s rich, warming, spicy and slightly sweet.

Tosdt with peanut butter (toddler nicked some), small glass of juice (toddler drank most)
Tuna pasta salad (left some as didn't enjoy it)
A cracker with brie, Dark chocolate digestive (shared with toddler)
Half an apple (shared a whole one with toddler)
Battered cod, chips, carrots, broccoli and peas
A square of dark chocolate

Notice a theme...think he's going through a growth spurt as he's been insatiable today 😂
