As an antidote to the irrational hatred thread Wink. I'll start.

Tins of Princes Tuna that are both drained, and have a funky pull lid (not metal) that made me kneel down and weep with joy.

Wine and crisps. Together. Made for each other 😀. Guess what I'm eating 😉

Oh and my almost 2 year old daughter’s uncontrollable laughter when she or anyone else farts!

A postcard from Grandson away on holiday.

A photo from DS of something that he has just that minute taken out of the oven.

Salty butter melting into thick hot toast.

Eating a perfect peach.

bobbybella · 13/07/2019 20:34

My daughter's belly laugh.
Watching the tomato plant go from flowers to little tomato buds.
My dog sleeping at my feet.
The feeling of closing the door once home and knowing we are all safe and cosy in our little house.

Motherontheedge1 · 13/07/2019 21:31

The night before the first day of a holiday from work. Knowing it’s all in front of you and you can stay up late without having to worry about getting up early in the morning. Bliss.

The joy of getting into bed after a long day - the sheer gratitude that someone invented a place that is horizontal, soft and warm. And mid winter, the wonder of the electric blanket!

Imanamechangeninja · 13/07/2019 21:43

Good quality kitchen rollmakes me very happy. The Kirkland one form Costco is the best

nanini · 13/07/2019 21:46

Sitting outside on a warm (not hot) June day, looking at my flowers and shrubs

puppy23 · 13/07/2019 21:46

@spiderlight my dog likes to carry her food bowl out of the kitchen and upstairs - she mostly seems to manage this without spilling any food too!

nanini · 13/07/2019 21:48

Looking through my photo album. My daughter was so gorgeous when she was little. Happy memories.

mineofuselessinformation · 13/07/2019 21:52

Just adding another couple.
Tiny, narrow baby heels - I just love them even if they aren't my own children any more.
Knowing that everyone is tucked up in their beds safe and sound for the night.

I absolutely love music.

It can make a night out more enjoyable, get you in the mood when doing housework, chill you out if in a bad mood and make you feel better when sad and upset so it can do whatever you need it to. So music above all is my ultimate favourite thing and it amazes me how they even manage to come up with songs and the whole process etc. Brilliant!!!!

Opening m a brand new skincare or makeup product especially if it’s a repurchase

The sound the vacuum cleaner makes when it sucks up something like cereal

NoParticularPattern · 13/07/2019 22:32

Palmolive soap
Waking up before the alarm AND before DD
Listening to DD cackle with laughter at DH blowing raspberries
The sound of rain (mostly because it means I don’t need to water the garden!!)
Tiny apples appearing on the new tree!
Line dried washing

Alicecooperslovechild · 13/07/2019 22:34

A tiny smile or whispered word from my DM who is receiving end of life care.

Hopefullynottheorangecreme · 13/07/2019 22:35

Walking along the beach
Finding new music that you love
A good book
Milky Way midnights
Tie dyed things
Getting into bed when you are SUPER tired
A smile from a stranger
Yellow sticker food in the evenings when it’s a fraction of the cost
De cluttering and re arranging
Snow days

I was going to put things like
My children’s laughter
My cats
The fact that music exists
Art
Ect
But they’re my massive things.

Thank you for the thread, what a wonderful idea!

TearingMeApart · 13/07/2019 22:40

Charity shop books. I think my TBR list is about a year long at this point but at £1 a book I can have an impressive collection.

AdaColeman · 13/07/2019 22:56

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 13/07/2019 23:06

AcrossthePond55 · 13/07/2019 23:55

A cup of black coffee and a handful (or 2) of Cadbury mini-eggs.

Preferably in bed with a good book. Or whilst binge watching something enthralling.
