Email from Ryan Air yesterday at 1pm - did you know our hold baggage allowance is absolutely miniscule so if you want to bring a standard sized wheel-on case you have to book priority booking and pay an extra amount starting from £8.00?

Ok, so I logged on to do that tonight at 5pm. Website says No - Sold Out.

What the frig am I supposed to do now?

There's a well sign posted function on the app to scan your proposed bag to check the size. Also link to it in the multiple emails you get about your booking. It's been there for yonks so I suspect some people trying to get around it. Or can't be arsed checking.

It's been ages you've only been able to take a small bag on Ryan air, like small handbag size.

The website is very very clear indeed. It's really hard to miss it. The changes were put in place effective Nov last year, and customers communicated with in August, so booking flights from last August you'd know.

Yes I remember commenting to my friends that anyone who turned up at the airport with the wrong sized bags did only have themselves to blame as I received at least 3 emails about it, plus it was very clear on booking what the options were,

Be prepared for the cabin bag restrictions on Ryanair, if you haven't booked Priority the bag you can take on is really very small. We bought Ryanair sized bags from Amazon and you can cram a fair bit in them but it's nowhere the size of even the smallest suitcase.
