Can I wear this?

Please be gentle, I took a huge step today in trying to accept my new post partum body (ds 13 months). Can I get sway with wearing this or does it look utterly ridiculous.

I’m sorry, I wouldn’t Sad

spanielove · 08/06/2019 18:27

I like the trousers but with a longer top maybe?

magneticmumbles · 08/06/2019 18:28

I wouldn't have the guts personally to have my midriff out, I'd wear a slightly longer top. But this isn't about me- do you feel comfortable having it on show?

I would wear a longer top if it was me. But if you feel comfortable and confident wearing that then good for you!

Watermelon2019 · 08/06/2019 18:31

I think so, it's a totally different body to the one I was used to, so trying to learn to just accept it and wear what I like, rather than hiding behind leggings and a baggy t-shirt.

I realise I'm not slim, I'm not delusional, but I see lots of bigger girls out and about wearing what they like and I think they look lovely and would like to feel like that about myself.

I think you look lovely. And if you feel comfortable then go for it ❤️

CheesePuffTheMagicDragon · 08/06/2019 18:34

That top makes your boobs look great! I think the trousers are good too, but you might need a different pair of pants? I feel like I can see pant lines, though it could well be my phone 🤷🏼‍♀️ great pants make all the difference! I feel your pain on the postpartum body though, I've not long had a baby myself and I don't know how to dress like me yet

Soola · 08/06/2019 18:37

A longer top. Your figure is fine but unless you are a teenager or younger a bare midriff just isn’t classy for casual wear.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 08/06/2019 18:37

They look great if you have a top that covers the midriff (nothing wrong with your midriff, I just not something I like that happens to be 'in' at the moment).

I have a very similar shaped body and have tight jeggings and nice float tops that go to just above my butt.

wowfudge · 08/06/2019 18:38

It looks like gym wear tbh. If you feel comfortable then go for it.

elasticfantastic · 08/06/2019 18:41

It looks fine for an exercise class or trip to the gym or pyjamas , but personally I wouldn't wear it outside of those circumstances. You say you don't want to hide behind baggy T-shirt's yet I think this is just as casual but with your mid drift out. You have a lovely figure and this doesn't flatter it.

Rarfy · 08/06/2019 18:44

Not really because of your size but I just don't think the outfit is nice. Is it a black crop top and black like cigarette trousers?

Rarfy · 08/06/2019 18:44

Sorry I have totally written that wrong. It is not your body that is the problem your body is fantastic especially seen as though you have a little one. The outfit is not very nice.

Runkle · 08/06/2019 18:48

You have lovely legs and bum. The trousers are OK but not great, the top is a no and it's nothing to do with your figure. Keep trying on new things and you'll get there Smile

Feelingwalkedover · 08/06/2019 19:04

You look lovely 💐
Yes you can wear it

PrimeraVez · 08/06/2019 19:09

Personally I wouldn’t. And that is absolutely nothing to do with you or your body, it’s just a weird outfit. You could wear something much nicer, that shows as much or as little skin as you feel comfortable with.

bitchfromhell · 08/06/2019 19:26

There's nothing wrong with your figure but I don't like that outfit at all, sorry. The fabrics look cheap, the difference in black shade looks odd, the trousers are a funny shape, I could go on.
You could look fabulous in a crop top and tight trousers if that's what you want to wear (I couldn't wear a crop top, personally) but you need to find fabulous tight trousers and crop top.

bitchfromhell · 08/06/2019 19:28

Btw, I'm not being sneery saying I couldn't wear a crop top. I just actually couldn't, no one needs to see that Wink

Amibeingdaft81 · 08/06/2019 19:30

No, don’t

However you’re doing well and looking pretty damn good!

mimibunz · 08/06/2019 19:30

Your figure is very nice but the outfit isn’t nice at all.

BenWillbondsPants · 08/06/2019 19:39

There's absolutely nothing wrong with your body at all, please don't think that there is!

I agree with others about the outfit, I think you could find something much nicer. Is it for a particular event or anything?

velveteenwabbit · 08/06/2019 19:41

It's not a flattering outfit. Nothing wrong with your figure at all but those clothes look like far too small pyjamas to me. I also don't like cropped black t shirts so it's just not to my taste. Is it for a certain occasion? This looks like loungewear at best.

SausageSimon · 08/06/2019 19:42

You have a great figure, but the outfit isn't to my taste!

mistermagpie · 08/06/2019 19:44

I don't like the outfit, but that's the clothes not your body! You look great but with a nice figure like yours you could wear something much prettier.

IHaveBrilloHair · 08/06/2019 19:44

It looks like a gym outfit, and even then I'd question why anyone needed to wear a crop top.
It's honestly not you, it's just a terrible outfit.
