Heart Radio Breakfast Show

Anyone else really disappointed by what Heart have done with their breakfast show?

I loved our local presenters, turned the radio on this morning in the car to be greeted by Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden shrieking. They were both being smug with David Walliams, barely any music either.

I had to turn over in the end. So, so sad that my morning radio has disappeared with barely any warning.

I am the same with Radio 2. 😕

Same with our heart, they closed down heart Sussex offices and got rid of all the dj's and replaced them with annoying Amanda holden. I will be finding a new station

Yes agree. Loved my local presenters. Nothing to listen to now in morning.

We had a local presenter called Jack (Sussex) and he was hilarious!!!

Agreed, really disappointed with the change. The sound of Amanda Holden is not what I want first thing in the morning! Really enjoyed our local station

I loved heart in the morning. Today was horrible. Need to find a new station. :(

Same. Totally ruined my drive to work. I won't be listening again.

Same, extremely disappointed - had to switch radio station, no more Dave and Heidi, therefore no more Heart for me in the mornings :(

I never liked Heart, the music played so repetitive, i wonder if that will change

Totally agree - new station required, I was just researching for tomorrow mornings clock radio! I loved the NW presenters! Miss them already!

I agree. In the Midlands, we had Ed James, and he was great.
I also like the local references.

Other than him, Heart was getting annoying with the constant, encouraging everyone to gamble every hour by getting them to phone in to the competition. Without him, not worth staying with them.

What we all going to listen to then?

I need to research.
I also think we all need to Twitter and tell heart that it sucks.

The Heart FB page had thousands of posts about it & I didnt see one positive one. I wonder how many listeners theyll lose.

I am going to try Radio X. Always liked Chris Moyles in my younger days. Liked the localness of Heart though, and Real Radio before it was bought out by Heart.

Ds is 7, and he insisted we turned it off as it wasn’t the same. He may not be very old, but he’s clearly very wise!

Yep. I turned over too. All high energy and fake positivity banging on about the money up for grabs. I want my normal guys back or they'll lose me permanently.

Oh god was GUTTED this morning!! Heart is not my only station, but Chris moyles was chatting shit on radio x, Ronan ditto on magic, cannot bear radio 2 (bad with Chris, worse with zoe). Wasn't thrilled about Lucy, liked her with JK and really liked Emma, but FML!!!! Did not know Amanda Holden was on the cards :(

I agree it was awful.

Yep same here, different station this morning. Think I read somewhere that Amanda is getting paid £3 million for her new breakfast show job, not sure if that's correct though.

I was gutted - my local breakfast presenters (Ben and Mel!) we’re hilarious, genuinely warm and funny. I loved the local detail, the banter between them and they were just so down to earth and really bounced off each other.

Now it’s generic drivel, constant competition entering and a couple of smugger than smug presenters with “oh look out special guest this morning is my bezzy mate that I’ve been working with”. Ugh.

I don’t know what to listen to now. Magic isn’t much better, and I can’t bear Kiss etc.

We loved Jamie and Emma on the school run with JK and Lucy at the end of the day.
Lost interest with Jamie and Lucy but I really am not an Amanda person so didn't even bother switching it on today.

What's Capital like these days?

I like the music on Greatest Hits - has been my 'go to' at other times of day when I got fed up with the constant pushing people to enter the competitions. Don't know what the Breakfast Show is like though. Might try them tomorrow.
